PowerColor seems to be expanding its lineup with a striking new variant of the Red Devil RX 9070 XT, dubbed the Spectral White Edition. This all-white refresh follows in the footsteps of the Hellhound Spectral White Edition, swapping the Red Devil’s traditionally dark and aggressive aesthetics for a clean, minimalist look. While PowerColor has yet to officially unveil this new GPU, a premature Amazon listing leaked its existence before being swiftly removed. However, VideoCardz was able to capture images and details before the page disappeared.

The Red Devil Spectral White Edition has undergone a complete color transformation, removing the signature red and black accents in favor of an all-white finish. One of the most noticeable changes is the clear acrylic cover on the Hellstone, replacing the original smoky acrylic design. The hallmark Red Devil logo, typically displayed in red on the backplate cutout, now takes on a more subtle and transparent appearance. These tweaks align with the growing demand for white-themed PC builds, making the card an appealing choice for users looking to match their components with a lighter, more refined setup.

Despite its aesthetic overhaul, the Spectral White Edition retains the same specifications as the original Red Devil RX 9070 XT. This means it continues to feature:

  • Triple-fan cooling system with a robust heatsink and heat pipe layout for efficient thermal management.
  • Factory overclocking, providing a performance boost over reference models.
  • High-end VRM design, ensuring stable power delivery under heavy workloads.
  • Dual BIOS switch, allowing users to toggle between an overclocked performance mode and a quieter, power-efficient mode.
  • ARGB lighting, which will likely be customizable to match different PC setups.

The leaked Amazon listing indicated that the Red Devil Spectral White Edition will be priced at $899 in the U.S. and €929 in Europe—identical to the standard Red Devil RX 9070 XT. While PowerColor has not yet confirmed an official release date, the appearance of the card on a major retailer’s website suggests that an announcement is imminent.

With the increasing popularity of white PC builds, PowerColor’s decision to introduce a Spectral White Edition of the Red Devil RX 9070 XT is a logical move. The new design offers a fresh alternative to the standard model while maintaining the high-performance capabilities that the Red Devil series is known for. Enthusiasts who want to match their GPU with an all-white build will likely find this variant to be an attractive option. As more details emerge, it will be interesting to see if PowerColor expands this approach to other GPUs in its lineup.

For now, those eager to get their hands on this new model should keep an eye on PowerColor’s official announcements, as availability could be just around the corner.

ZOTAC has quietly launched its new SOLID CORE graphics card design, with four models based on NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50-series architecture appearing on the company’s website last week. Unlike previous high-profile releases, the Hong Kong-based brand did not issue an official press release, leaving keen-eyed enthusiasts to uncover the updates independently. While the exterior remains largely unchanged, subtle design refinements set these new models apart.

ZOTAC’s existing SOLID series cards were known for their robust, triple-fan cooling solutions with a hefty 3.5-slot footprint. The newly introduced SOLID CORE models refine this approach, featuring a 2.5-slot design (56 mm / 2.2 inches), making them slightly more compact without sacrificing cooling performance. However, despite the slimmer body, the I/O bracket still takes up three PCIe slot spaces, meaning case compatibility remains largely unchanged from its predecessor.

This design change marks a notable reduction from the original SOLID cards, which measured 68 mm (2.7 inches) in height. The adjustment is aimed at offering better compatibility with mid-tower and airflow-focused PC builds while maintaining the cooling efficiency expected from high-performance GPUs.

The new SOLID CORE lineup includes the GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti, available in both standard and factory-overclocked (OC) variants. These models continue to feature ZOTAC’s IceStorm 3.0 Advanced Cooling, which integrates a vapor chamber for enhanced heat dissipation. Other familiar features include:

  • BladeLink Fans – ZOTAC’s proprietary fan technology that optimizes airflow and reduces turbulence.
  • 12V-2×6 Safety Light – A built-in indicator ensuring proper power connection.
  • SPECTRA RGB Lighting – Customizable RGB accents integrated into the shroud and backplate.

Despite being slightly slimmer, these GPUs remain large and powerful solutions, equipped with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge Blackwell GB203 architecture. The RTX 5080 SOLID CORE is expected to target high-end gamers and creators, while the RTX 5070 Ti SOLID CORE serves as a more mainstream enthusiast option.

At CES 2025, NVIDIA and its partners showcased a range of “SFF-Ready” (Small Form Factor) products, aimed at compact PC builders. However, despite the reduced thickness, the SOLID CORE lineup is still far from a true SFF solution. The footprint remains large, particularly with the triple-slot I/O bracket, which means most compact cases will struggle to accommodate these cards.

ZOTAC’s GeForce RTX 5070 SOLID—a separate, existing model—offers a true 2-slot solution. According to reports from VideoCardz, this shroud design is likely to be adapted for future GeForce RTX 5060 Ti models, offering a genuinely slim alternative for space-conscious builders.

ZOTAC has published several product images directly on its website, giving users an up-close look at the new SOLID CORE aesthetic. While the cooling shroud and backplate remain largely unchanged from previous SOLID designs, the slight reduction in thickness could make a notable difference in system airflow and multi-GPU configurations.

With no official announcement from ZOTAC yet, it remains unclear when these new SOLID CORE GPUs will hit retail shelves. Pricing and regional availability details are also missing, though more information is expected as NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series rollout continues.

For now, ZOTAC’s stealth launch approach leaves room for speculation—will these slimmer cards be a sign of more compact designs to come, or are they just a minor revision? Time will tell.

Stay tuned for updates as more details emerge.

AMD has not officially released a “Made by AMD” (MBA) reference design for its latest Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs, built on the RDNA 4 architecture. However, leaked images from China suggest that a reference model does indeed exist—at least as a prototype. While AMD’s board partners have launched custom models, the absence of an official reference edition has left enthusiasts wondering if one was ever made for internal use.

Now, a new leak from Chinese forums provides compelling evidence that such a card is not just a digital render but a physical product. A seller briefly listed a brand-new Radeon RX 9070 XT reference edition with a one-year warranty, stipulating that the second year would require self-paid repairs. The listing included strict conditions: no disassembly, no modifications, and no physical damage allowed.

According to the now-deleted listing, the seller was offering the card for 5000 RMB (~$700 USD) for local buyers. Those requiring shipping had to opt for SF Express with insurance, raising the total cost to 5800 RMB (~$810 USD). This pricing aligns closely with what custom AIB models are selling for, making it a relatively fair deal given the rarity of the reference edition.

The card itself closely resembles the previously leaked renders, featuring a triple-fan cooling solution. However, one key difference stands out: instead of the expected gray or silver aesthetic, this model sports a full-black shroud, giving it a more understated appearance. The unit was reportedly still factory-sealed in an antistatic bag, suggesting it had never been used or tested.

With the listing now removed, it’s highly likely that the GPU has already been sold. However, the images displayed visible serial codes, which means AMD could potentially trace the origins of this particular unit. If this prototype was not meant to be in circulation, the seller—or whoever originally obtained it—could face repercussions.

Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU

AMD has yet to comment on the situation, and given the lack of an official MBA version of the RX 9070 XT, this leak raises questions about how many of these reference cards actually exist. Were they simply engineering samples? Were they produced in limited numbers before AMD scrapped the idea of selling them publicly?

While the Radeon RX 9070 XT is readily available through board partners like Sapphire, ASUS, and PowerColor, this leak suggests that AMD at least designed a reference edition before deciding against a mass release. The reasoning behind this decision remains unclear—perhaps due to cost considerations, cooling performance, or market positioning.

For now, the sighting of this MBA Radeon RX 9070 XT remains a fleeting glimpse into what could have been a collector’s item. Whether AMD will officially acknowledge the reference design’s existence or if more units will appear in the wild remains to be seen.
