The gaming peripheral market has become increasingly competitive over the years, with countless brands offering similar designs and features. Despite this, new players continue to emerge, bringing fresh ideas and competitive pricing to the table. One such brand is RAWM, a relatively new company that has recently started expanding its presence beyond the Chinese market. They’ve released a range of mice targeting different segments—from entry-level to flagship models—giving gamers more options depending on their budget and performance needs.

RAWM was established in 2019 and is still a new name for many outside of China. However, the brand has gained some traction in its home market and is now aiming to make a mark internationally. The company recently sent over the RAWM MH01 PRO for testing. This model closely resembles the Razer Viper V3 in terms of shape but adds its own twist with hot-swappable main switches—a rare feature even in higher-end products. What’s more interesting is the aggressive pricing, which makes it accessible to a wider audience without sacrificing key features.

Inside the MH01 PRO is PixArt’s PAW3950 sensor, one of the most advanced sensors currently available, and it’s paired with a Nordic 52840 MCU for reliable wireless performance. These components are typically found in much more expensive mice, so their inclusion here is notable. With a maximum DPI of 30,000 and smooth tracking performance, this mouse aims to meet the demands of competitive gamers while staying within reach of those on a budget. Let’s dive deeper into how it performs in real-world use.

The MH01PRO from RAWM comes in a minimal but well-presented box. The outer sleeve is matte black with large gold lettering that clearly shows the model name. A small label in the corner marks it as part of the SA Series, and the RAWM logo is printed in the top left. On the back, you’ll find the product specs, including sensor type, dimensions, and manufacturer details — all laid out in a clean and readable format. Once the sleeve is removed, the inner box continues the same clean design, featuring just the logo.

Lifting the lid reveals the mouse packed securely in a molded tray, wrapped in a protective white plastic cover. It’s a simple unboxing experience, but everything is neatly arranged and gives a good first impression of the product. Included in the box is a braided USB-C to USB-A Cable, a set of replacement skates, and textured grip tape for users who prefer extra control. There’s also an 8K polling rate dongle included, which is great to see, especially for competitive players who want the fastest response times. A quick-start guide rounds out the package.

The RAWM MH01 PRO makes a solid first impression with its lightweight build, which is immediately noticeable the moment you pick it up. The surface features a skin-like coating that feels smooth without being slippery, offering a comfortable grip even during extended sessions. It’s also practical—resisting stains and easy to clean, which is a plus for users who spend hours at the desk. The shell is crafted from finely textured ABS plastic, giving it a sturdy feel while maintaining a premium touch. It’s clear that durability was a design focus here, with the material showing strong resistance to everyday wear and corrosion.

The RAWM MH01 PRO shares a familiar shape with the Razer Viper V3 Pro but comes with a few small changes. It’s 2mm wider and 1mm shorter in height, which gives it a slightly fuller feel in the hand. The size—127.2 x 66 x 40.1 mm—makes it a good fit for medium to large hands, and at just 69g (not including the receiver), it’s light without needing holes in the shell.

The white finish is simple and clean, offering a nice change from the usual black designs. While it clearly takes inspiration from the Viper V3 Pro, the RAWM MH01 Pro stands on its own as a well-built option for anyone looking for that shape without going all-in on Razer.

The left and right buttons have a smooth, curved shape that fits the fingers comfortably and provide a consistent click feel across the entire surface. The scroll wheel is centered and slightly lowered, with a rubberized texture that gives a firm grip without slipping. Just behind the wheel is the Charging Reminder button. It’s positioned close enough to reach easily but far enough to avoid accidental clicks. Above the wheel is a small LED light that shows either the DPI level or battery status, depending on the current mode. All the buttons and the indicator are placed logically, making the layout feel familiar and easy to use.

The RAWM MH01 Pro uses HUANO Green & White Dot switches for the main left and right click buttons. These switches offer a crisp, clean click that feels satisfying and responsive during gameplay, helping with accurate inputs in fast-paced situations.

The side buttons use HUANO white dot switches and have a moderate feel—not too stiff or too soft—making them easy to press without feeling loose. They’re well-placed and easy to reach, which is useful for quick actions like switching weapons or using abilities. The scroll wheel feels average in resistance and feedback. One useful feature is the hot-swappable switch design, allowing users to change the main switches without soldering. This is a nice touch for those who want to customize the feel or replace worn-out switches over time.

The underside of the RAWM SA-MH01PRO is designed with practicality in mind. The sensor is placed right in the center, which helps with balanced tracking across different grip styles. Below the sensor is a DPI switch for quick sensitivity changes. To the sides, there’s a three-way slider to switch between Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and Off, along with a separate power switch. The PTFE feet on the top and bottom edges are wide enough to ensure smooth movement on most surfaces. All the basic information—model number, power details, and certification logos—is clearly marked. It’s a clean and functional layout that makes everyday use simple and hassle-free.

The RAWM MH01 PRO comes with a USB Type-C port, which lets you charge the mouse or use it in wired mode. This is especially useful if you prefer a direct connection for lower latency or just don’t want to worry about battery life during longer sessions. The port is placed at the front and works with the included cable without any issues.

The RAWM MH01 PRO is designed with larger hands in mind, coming in at 127.2 mm in length with a high 40.1 mm hump that fits naturally into a palm grip. While it technically supports claw and fingertip styles, the shape clearly favors palm users thanks to its wider back and fuller curve. During use, the mouse provides solid hand support without feeling bulky or forcing any adjustments. It sticks to a familiar ergonomic shape that works well for those who prefer resting their whole hand on the mouse, especially in longer gaming sessions.

RAWM HS 8K Receiver

The RAWM HS 8K Receiver is a 2.4GHz wireless mouse dongle that combines a fast, stable connection with a sleek design. Featuring an 8KHz polling rate, it delivers precise, responsive input, making it a solid choice for gaming or tasks requiring accuracy. The receiver is compact and features the RAWM branding on its surface, adding a touch of style without compromising its minimalistic design. A USB-C connection ensures reliable data transfer, while the green LED light signals when the device is powered on and connected. With no unnecessary features, the RAWM HS 8K Receiver is a practical and high-performance solution for those seeking reliability and speed in their wireless mouse setup.

Features and Performance

The RAWM MH01Pro is a gaming mouse designed with high precision and performance in mind, catering to gamers who demand accuracy in fast-paced environments. Equipped with the Pixart PAW3950 sensor, it offers a maximum DPI of 30,000, which is more than enough for most gaming scenarios. Whether you’re playing FPS or strategy games, the high DPI ensures smooth and precise tracking, even at high speeds.

The MH01Pro supports a 750 IPS tracking speed and 50G acceleration, making it responsive during rapid movements. This combination allows gamers to execute quick turns and fast actions without worrying about sensor lag or missed movements. The mouse also features an adjustable Lift-Off Distance (LOD), with three settings—low, middle, and high—allowing users to fine-tune how the sensor behaves when lifted off the surface. This is a helpful feature for those who play on various surfaces or prefer specific LOD adjustments for their playstyle.

The Nordic52840 CPU powers the MH01Pro, contributing to ultra-low latency and ensuring there’s no frame dropping or delay when making quick, precise movements. This CPU ensures that every click and swipe is instantly recognized, which is crucial for competitive gaming where every millisecond counts.

The polling rate of the MH01Pro can be adjusted up to 8,000 Hz, providing gamers with one of the fastest response rates available. However, to achieve the full 8k polling rate, you’ll need a separate 8k receiver. Still, even at the default settings, the mouse offers smooth and consistent performance. For those who want to tweak their setup further, the X-Polling function allows you to customize the return rate to suit your preferences, ensuring optimal performance tailored to your specific needs.

Compared to the MH01, the MH01Pro offers a significant upgrade in terms of sensor performance. While the MH01 is equipped with the PAW3395 sensor and supports a maximum DPI of 26,000, the MH01Pro takes it further with the PAW3950 sensor, offering 30,000 DPI. This increase in DPI makes the MH01Pro a better option for those who require ultra-precise movements, especially in high-speed games like FPS, where accuracy can be crucial.

The MH01Pro also features 750 IPS tracking speed, which is faster than the MH01’s 650 IPS, offering more responsiveness in fast-paced scenarios. Additionally, the MH01Pro benefits from a higher acceleration of 50G versus the MH01’s 50G, but the difference in performance is subtle for most users. While both mice offer adjustable LOD settings, the MH01Pro’s overall sensor and tracking capabilities make it the superior choice for gamers who need the highest level of precision and responsiveness.

Overall, the MH01Pro is an excellent choice for gamers who need precise control, speed, and responsiveness. With its high-end sensor, adjustable settings, and customizable polling rate, it offers everything needed for competitive gaming without any noticeable lag or delay. If you’re looking for a top-tier mouse that delivers in both performance and comfort, the MH01Pro is definitely worth considering.

Connectivity

This mouse offers three different connectivity options, making it adaptable to various needs and preferences. The modes include Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and Type-C wired. These choices ensure that you can always find the right connection method, whether you’re using a laptop, desktop, or mobile device. Switching between these modes is simple, giving you flexibility depending on your setup or environment.

Bluetooth Mode: The Bluetooth mode is activated by sliding the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the left. Once in Bluetooth mode, you can pair the mouse with any Bluetooth-enabled device. It’s a quick and hassle-free process, offering a clean and cable-free experience. The Bluetooth connection is stable, and the range is more than adequate for typical office and home environments, making it a solid option for people who want to reduce clutter.

2.4G Mode: If you prefer a more traditional wireless connection, the 2.4G mode offers a great alternative. To use it, you simply switch the mouse to 2.4G mode and plug in the USB receiver. This provides a reliable, low-latency connection that’s perfect for both work and play. The 2.4G connection is strong enough to maintain good performance even in environments with other wireless devices nearby, making it a good choice for those who need a stable wireless setup.

Wired Mode: Finally, there’s the Type-C wired mode. This is the go-to option when you need the most stable and responsive connection, particularly during gaming or high-performance tasks. When plugged in, the mouse automatically defaults to wired mode, prioritizing a stable, lag-free connection. Additionally, when connected via Type-C, the mouse will charge, so you don’t have to worry about battery life during extended sessions. Overall, these three connectivity modes give you plenty of flexibility, ensuring that you have the right option for every situation.

Software

The RAWM Hub Software is designed to allow users to fully customize their gaming mouse experience, offering a variety of features that enhance performance and usability across different devices. The software provides a wealth of options for fine-tuning mouse behavior and appearance, with a focus on both professional gamers and general users who want a customizable experience. The software provides compatibility with Web Driver, Windows, iOS, and Android, giving users flexibility to use the mouse across various platforms. This compatibility ensures that the mouse can be seamlessly connected to a variety of devices, demonstrating its powerful performance and adaptability.

Web Driver Version:

The Web Driver version offers a streamlined interface designed to give users access to key mouse configurations without the need for a heavy installation process. This version emphasizes ease of use and can be accessed directly from a web browser, offering flexibility when using various devices. The interface is simple yet effective, allowing users to adjust crucial settings such as DPI, polling rate, and button mappings. The integration of different platforms (iOS, Android, Web) ensures that users can seamlessly use the mouse across various systems. However, this version may not have the same in-depth features and performance optimizations that are available in the Windows driver, particularly for users who demand advanced customization and functionality.

Windows Driver Version:

The Windows Driver, showcased in the rest of the images, takes customization to the next level with more in-depth options for controlling and fine-tuning the mouse settings. Here’s a breakdown of the important features offered by the Windows driver:

DPI and Polling Rate Customization: The Windows driver allows users to adjust DPI (up to 30,000) and polling rates for a highly responsive experience. You can modify these settings on the fly with visual indicators showing which DPI level is selected. The ability to choose between multiple DPI levels ensures that users can switch between different sensitivities depending on the task or game at hand.

Onboard Memory and Profile Storage: The Windows driver includes onboard memory that saves your settings directly to the mouse. This lets you keep your custom configurations when switching between computers. It’s especially useful for competitive gaming, where consistent settings matter. You can switch between profiles and assign them to specific applications.

Advanced Button Mapping: Users can map every button to a specific function, be it a simple key press or complex macro commands. The R-Plus key functionality is also included, allowing you to activate secondary mappings by pressing a specific button in combination with others, adding more versatility to the controls.

Wireless and Power Features: The software offers robust support for wireless mode, with the option to enable Wireless Turbo for better performance in environments with multiple wireless devices. The battery level is clearly displayed, and settings like sleep mode and power consumption optimizations are built into the software, ensuring the mouse remains functional for long gaming sessions.

Lighting and Aesthetic Customization: Beyond functionality, RAWM HUB allows you to customize the lighting effects on the mouse. You can choose from different color schemes for each DPI level and even set the mouse to a looping light effect. This makes it easy to personalize the look of your mouse to match your gaming setup or personal preferences.

Advanced Performance Modes: The performance modes let users choose between low power consumption and high performance, depending on the type of work or game. There’s also the option for motion synchronization to enhance pointer accuracy and angle snapping for more fluid movements, especially in high-speed games.

Sleep Mode and Key Delay Adjustments: RAWM HUB Windows Driver offers users the ability to fine-tune the sleep mode timer to save power when the mouse remains idle for an extended period. Additionally, key delay adjustments allow users to optimize the responsiveness of each button press, ensuring more stable key stability during rapid movements.

Android Version:

The RAWM HUB Mobile Driver for Android gives users a simple way to control and adjust their RAWM devices. The app allows you to change settings, update firmware, and manage connections without much hassle. It works well across many Android versions and keeps things running reliably, whether you’re setting up new gear or fine-tuning what’s already there. One downside is that it’s only available in Chinese for now, which may be limiting for some users. Also, since it’s not on the Google Play Store, you’ll have to download it directly from the RAWM website.

Battery Life and Charging

Battery life can make or break a wireless gaming mouse, especially for players who log extended sessions. This mouse comes equipped with a 600mAh battery that claims up to 165 hours of continuous use. In real-world terms, that’s enough to get through several days—or even a full week—of gaming without needing a recharge, depending on how often and intensely you use it.

RAWM MH01 Pro Charging

The brand states the usage range between 80 to 165 hours, which likely varies depending on DPI settings, RGB usage, and polling rate. For users who don’t max out those features, it’s reasonable to expect close to the upper end of the battery range. In testing, that figure held up well under moderate usage with RGB lighting off.

Charging is equally practical. The RAWM MH01 Pro takes about 2.5 hours to fully recharge from empty, which aligns with most modern wireless gaming mice in this price range. A nice bonus: it supports usage while charging, so even if you run out of juice mid-session, you won’t be sidelined.

Power Indicator System

A simple but effective power indicator system is built into the mouse, using a color-coded LED near the scroll wheel:

  • Green light: Power is sufficient, no need to worry.
  • Yellow light: The battery is running low, and you should plan to charge soon.
  • Red light: Plug it in ASAP—battery is nearly depleted.
RAWM MH01 Pro Charging indicator

This three-stage LED notification setup is straightforward and doesn’t require software to interpret, which is appreciated for users who prefer plug-and-play hardware.

Use Experience – Productivity & Gaming

After a full week of using the RAWM MH01 PRO as my daily driver, both in games and for everyday tasks, I came away impressed. It held up well in fast-paced shooters like Valorant, CS2, and Warzone—tracking was smooth, no weird spin-outs or input delay, and the clicks felt crisp and consistent. The shape strikes a nice balance between comfort and control, and the low weight makes quick flicks and fast movements easy. During longer sessions, hand fatigue wasn’t an issue either. It just worked, which is exactly what you want in the middle of a ranked match.

RAWM MH01 Pro

I also tested the hot-swappable switches by swapping in a spare set I had lying around. No fuss, no tools, and everything worked right away. That’s a nice touch if you’re the type who likes to fine-tune your gear. The build feels solid too—no creaks, no loose buttons, and the coating held up well against sweat and long hours of use.

Outside of gaming, I used it for work—spreadsheets, emails, editing photos—and it didn’t feel out of place. The battery held up all week with RGB turned off, and I never had to worry about it dying mid-day. Switching between wireless and wired was simple, and the connection stayed rock solid the whole time.

The 8K polling rate support is a standout if you’ve got the hardware to take advantage of it. I ran it both at 1K and 8K during testing, and while the difference won’t matter for everyone, there’s a subtle sharpness at 8K that high-level players might appreciate. The stock skates are smooth, and I didn’t feel the need to use the extras, though it’s nice they’re included.

RAWM MH01 Pro showcase

All in all, the RAWM MH01 Pro is a no-nonsense mouse that delivers where it counts—reliable performance, good build quality, and thoughtful features without the fluff. For the price, it’s punching well above its weight.

Conclusion

8.9Expert Score
Solid Performance

The RAWM MH01 PRO brings solid performance at a competitive price, offering a feature set that’s typically seen in higher-end mice. With the PAW3950 sensor and 8000 Hz wireless polling, it delivers reliable tracking and smooth movement, which will satisfy most gamers, whether they’re playing fast-paced shooters or more strategic games. The mouse feels light and comfortable, with a design that suits different grip styles, especially claw and palm grips.

Overall, the RAWM MH01 Pro punches above its weight, providing solid performance, a good build quality, and thoughtful features like hot-swappable switches and decent software support. While there’s still room for improvement in the software and the 8K polling rate might not be for everyone, it’s clear that RAWM has crafted a mouse that offers great value for its price. It’s a strong contender for those looking to upgrade their gear without breaking the bank.

Wireless controllers are everywhere these days, but finding one that balances comfort, reliability, and solid performance isn’t always easy. The EasySMX D05 Wireless Gaming Controller aims to check all those boxes with multi-mode connectivity, an ergonomic design, and a dedicated charging dock for added convenience. On paper, it sounds like a solid option for gamers who want flexibility without dealing with constant battery swaps or connection issues. But specs don’t tell the whole story—what really matters is how it feels and performs in actual gameplay.

Right out of the box, the D05 has a familiar shape that feels natural in the hands. The weight is well-balanced—not too light, but not overly heavy either. The textured grips provide a decent hold, and the buttons have a good amount of travel without feeling mushy. The included charging dock is a nice touch, making it easy to set the controller down and keep it charged without worrying about plugging in cables. But while the design seems solid, the real question is how well it handles different gaming scenarios, from casual play to more demanding action-packed titles.

Of course, connectivity is a big deal with any wireless controller, and the D05 offers three different ways to connect: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired. In theory, this should make it a great fit for multiple platforms, but how well does it actually perform in each mode? Is there any noticeable input lag, or does it hold up for fast-paced games where split-second reactions matter? And just as importantly, how long does the battery last in real-world use? Let’s put it to the test and find out.

The EasySMX D05 controller arrives in a compact, well-designed box that provides a clear overview of its key features right from the start. The front showcases a large image of the controller sitting on its charging dock, along with highlights like Hall Effect sticks, multi-platform support, and RGB lighting. Flipping it over, the back offers a more detailed breakdown, including a 1000Hz polling rate, rapid trigger functionality, and 2.4GHz wireless connectivity.

Inside, everything is neatly arranged—opening the box reveals the controller itself, the charging dock, a 2.4GHz USB receiver, a USB-C cable, and a user manual.

The EasySMX D05 keeps things simple with a matte black finish and a semi-transparent top shell that subtly reveals the internal circuitry. The design feels well thought out, with an ergonomic shape that sits comfortably in the hands for extended play sessions. The textured edges on the joysticks provide extra grip, while the buttons offer a responsive and consistent feel. Build quality is solid, with no noticeable flex or rattling. The included charging dock is a nice touch, making it easy to store and charge the controller without fumbling with cables.

The EasySMX D05 adopts the standard Xbox-style layout, ensuring a familiar experience for those used to Microsoft’s controllers. The ABXY buttons are positioned in the expected format, offering a firm and responsive press without feeling too stiff or mushy. The D-pad features a cross-style design with a metallic gold finish, giving it a distinct look while providing solid tactile feedback. The thumbsticks have a textured grip that helps with precise movements, and the overall button placement feels natural. With its well-thought-out layout, the D05 delivers a comfortable and intuitive gaming experience right out of the box.

The EasySMX D05 keeps things simple and functional. The USB-C port sits in the center on top, making charging and wired play convenient. The (LB and RB) buttons have a textured finish for better grip, while the (LT and RT) triggers feature a metallic gold accent that adds a bit of flair. With Hall Effect sensors, stick drift isn’t a concern, ensuring smooth and reliable control over time. The 1000Hz polling rate means inputs register almost instantly, which is great for competitive play where every millisecond counts.

The EasySMX D05 uses Hall Effect sensors for both the sticks and triggers, which helps with long-term durability and accuracy. Since these sensors rely on magnets instead of physical contact, there’s no risk of stick drift over time. Movements feel smooth and precise, whether you’re aiming in a shooter or making small adjustments in a racing game. The triggers also benefit from this, giving a consistent response without wear affecting performance. It’s a solid upgrade over traditional analog sticks and triggers, especially for gamers who want reliability.

The EasySMX D05 controller’s back layout is designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. Its semi-transparent plastic shell gives it a sleek, modern look, while the textured grips ensure a secure hold, even during long gaming sessions. The inclusion of two programmable back buttons allows for quick inputs without requiring finger repositioning, a useful feature for competitive play. Additionally, two extra back buttons provide further customization options, making it easier to execute complex moves with minimal effort. The central area houses standard regulatory markings, model information, and power input details, keeping everything neatly labeled.

The D05 controller features two gold-colored pogo pins on the bottom, designed to work seamlessly with its charging dock. This eliminates the need to plug in cables, making recharging as simple as placing the controller on the dock. The connection feels secure, with just the right amount of magnetic hold to keep it in place without making removal a hassle. For added convenience, the controller also includes a USB-C port, giving users the flexibility to charge directly if they prefer. It’s a well-thought-out design that keeps things neat and functional.

The D05 controller’s Vibrant RGB Zone adds a subtle but stylish touch to your setup. With simple FN + D-pad shortcuts, switching between colors and effects is quick and hassle-free. Brightness adjustments through FN and the analog sticks give just enough control to keep the lighting comfortable, whether you prefer a soft glow or something more eye-catching. While it doesn’t enhance gameplay, the RGB lighting is a nice extra for those who like some customization. It’s a small detail, but one that helps the controller stand out without being over the top.

Charging Dock and Battery

The EasySMX D05 charging dock has a simple, no-nonsense design that fits well in any gaming setup. The matte black finish gives it a clean look, and its compact size means it won’t take up too much space on your desk. The plastic build feels lightweight, but it doesn’t seem fragile. The anti-slip pads on the bottom help keep it stable, which is a nice touch. On top, the pogo pin connectors make it easy to drop in a controller without worrying about alignment. The back has both USB-A and USB-C ports, offering some flexibility for different setups. During testing, it charged consistently without overheating or losing connection, making it a reliable option for everyday use.

The EasySMX D05 charging dock offers a streamlined solution for both powering and organizing your controller setup. Its magnetic docking system ensures a secure fit, preventing misalignment while charging. With a 1000mAh battery, the controller takes around 2.5 hours for a full recharge, providing a decent balance between charge time and battery life. A small but useful addition is the built-in storage slot for the 2.4GHz dongle, keeping everything in one place and reducing the chances of losing it. This all-in-one design not only helps maintain a clutter-free desk but also ensures that your controller is always charged and ready when you need it.

The D05 controller offers versatile connectivity options, allowing seamless pairing with Windows PCs, Android devices, Nintendo Switch, and iPhones. Users can connect via Bluetooth 5.3 or take advantage of the included 2.4 GHz dongle for a more stable, low-latency experience. For PC users, the 2.4 GHz mode is recommended to minimize input lag and maintain a more consistent connection during gameplay. The pairing process is straightforward, with clear visual and haptic feedback when the connection is successfully established.

2.4 GHz Receiver Mode

When using the 2.4 GHz receiver, setup is simple. Insert the USB receiver into the charging dock’s USB port, then press and hold the B and Home buttons on the controller for three seconds to enter pairing mode. The controller’s logo indicator will begin flashing rapidly and turn solid once paired, with a brief vibration confirming the connection. It’s worth noting that the receiver will only function if the charging dock is connected to the PC. If not using the dock, plugging the receiver directly into a PC’s USB port ensures proper operation.

Bluetooth Mode

For those who prefer Bluetooth, the process is equally intuitive. Holding the X and Home buttons for three seconds enables pairing mode, with the LED indicator flashing rapidly. From there, simply navigate to the Bluetooth settings on your device and select “Xbox Wireless Controller” to complete the connection. This method works across PCs, iOS, and Android devices, offering broad compatibility without requiring additional adapters. Once paired, a solid LED light and a brief vibration indicate a successful connection.

Nintendo Switch Mode

Nintendo Switch users aren’t left out either. To pair, hold the Y and Home buttons for three seconds to enter pairing mode. On the Switch, navigate to Controllers > Change Grip/Order to initiate the pairing process. Once the connection is established, the LED indicator turns solid, and a brief vibration confirms the link. A notable addition in Switch mode is the Fn button, which functions as a screenshot button when pressed on its own, adding a layer of convenience for capturing gameplay moments.

Reconnection

Reconnecting the D05 controller is hassle-free. As long as the device and connection mode remain unchanged, a short press of the Home button automatically reconnects it to the last used device. This quick reconnection feature ensures minimal downtime, allowing players to jump right back into their game without having to manually pair the controller again.

Mode Switching

Switching between different input modes is also a simple process. In both receiver and wired mode, the controller defaults to X-INPUT, making it compatible with most PC games. To toggle between D-INPUT and Switch Mode, hold the BACK and START buttons for five seconds. A brief vibration confirms each mode change, allowing users to cycle between X-INPUT, D-INPUT, and Switch Mode with ease. This flexibility makes the D05 a versatile option for multi-platform gamers looking for a single controller that adapts to different gaming environments.

Modern controllers offer a variety of features to enhance gameplay, and the EasySMX D05 is no exception. While it does not support software drivers for customization, it compensates with a well-implemented FN (Function) key system, allowing users to adjust settings like Turbo mode, RGB lighting, vibration intensity, and trigger response directly on the controller. These shortcuts make it easy to tweak settings on the fly without needing additional software.

Turbo and Continuous Firing Settings

For players who need rapid-fire capabilities, the Turbo mode provides an advantage. Pressing TURBO & A enables manual turbo, which allows continuous firing while holding the button. Pressing the combination again activates Auto Turbo, where a single press triggers continuous firing automatically. A third press cancels Turbo mode entirely. This feature isn’t just for the A button—it works with A/B/X/Y, triggers, and the D-pad, making it useful for fast-paced shooters and action games.

RGB Lighting Adjustment

Since EasySMX D05 lacks software control, all RGB lighting adjustments must be done via shortcuts. Pressing FN & Right D-pad cycles through the available lighting modes, while FN & Left D-pad adjusts brightness. This ensures that users can still personalize the lighting effects without needing external software.

Vibration Adjustment

Haptic feedback is an important part of immersion, and this controller lets users tweak it on the go. FN & Up D-pad increases vibration intensity, while FN & Down D-pad lowers it. Without software customization, having these quick-access commands is a solid alternative for players who want a tailored experience.

ABXY Layout Switch

For those switching between different gaming platforms, the ABXY layout swap is a handy feature. Holding FN & A for three seconds switches between button layouts, with a short vibration confirming the change. This is especially useful for players transitioning between Nintendo and Xbox-style controls, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience.

Rapid Trigger Switch

Competitive gamers will appreciate the Rapid Trigger adjustment, which allows for faster input response. By pressing FN & LT or FN & RT, players can modify the trigger sensitivity. While some high-end controllers offer software-based trigger tuning, having this built-in adjustment still provides a notable edge in shooters and racing games.

Stick and Trigger Calibration

Over time, thumbsticks and triggers may develop slight drift or inconsistencies. The EasySMX D05 includes a built-in manual calibration mode to counteract this. While the controller is powered off, holding BACK, B, and Home for three seconds enters calibration mode. The thumbstick LEDs will flash, prompting users to rotate both sticks clockwise three times and fully press the triggers three times. Pressing START exits calibration mode, confirming the settings.

Programming Function

Even though the D05 doesn’t support software-based remapping, it still includes a manual programming function for the M1/M2 back buttons. Pressing FN & M1/M2 enters programming mode, allowing users to assign commands from A/B/X/Y, the D-pad, triggers, and joysticks. If no button is recorded, pressing M1/M2 will result in an empty input. While this isn’t as flexible as software-based remapping, it’s a convenient feature for players who rely on customizable back buttons.

Power Management

To conserve battery, the controller includes both manual and automatic power-off functions. Holding the Home button for five seconds powers off the device instantly, while an auto-shutdown feature kicks in after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Hall Effect sensors have become a game-changer in modern gaming controllers, offering a significant upgrade in precision and durability compared to traditional potentiometer-based sticks. Unlike mechanical components that wear down over time, Hall Effect sensors use magnets to detect movement, ensuring zero drift and long-lasting reliability. This translates to consistent and accurate inputs, which is crucial for competitive FPS and racing games where even slight deviations can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Additionally, the use of Hall Effect technology in triggers further enhances control, providing smooth, responsive actuation without the inconsistencies of mechanical wear.

A 1000Hz polling rate ensures that every input is transmitted to the system with near-instant responsiveness, minimizing input lag to virtually imperceptible levels. Whether in wired or 2.4GHz wireless mode, the high polling rate guarantees that your actions are registered with precision, making quick reflexes more effective in fast-paced games. This is especially important in esports titles, where rapid movements and split-second reactions define high-level play. Combined with the Hall Effect sensors, the ultra-fast polling rate ensures that every movement and button press translates into fluid, accurate gameplay, giving players a tangible competitive advantage.

After spending a week with the EasySMX D05 Wireless Gaming Controller, I can confidently say it’s a solid option for gamers seeking a reliable, budget-friendly alternative to the more expensive controllers on the market. Right out of the box, the controller feels well-built with a comfortable, ergonomic design that ensures it fits naturally in your hands. The textured grips are a nice touch, providing a secure hold, even during extended gaming sessions. The matte black finish, combined with the subtle transparency revealing the internal components, gives it a sleek, modern look that doesn’t scream for attention. The included charging dock is another practical feature, allowing you to easily store and charge the controller without worrying about loose cables or wear and tear from plugging it in constantly.

In terms of gaming performance, the D05 handles a variety of genres well. I tested it across multiple platforms—PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android—and the connectivity was flawless. The 2.4GHz wireless connection provided the most stable performance for fast-paced games, with no noticeable input lag. I also tried out Bluetooth mode on my Android device, and while there was a slight increase in latency compared to the 2.4GHz connection, it was still very playable. The controller’s Hall Effect sensors—used in the thumbsticks and triggers—make a noticeable difference in precision, especially in titles like racing games and first-person shooters. There’s no sign of stick drift after extended use, which adds to the controller’s longevity and reliability.

The button layout is familiar to anyone who has used an Xbox-style controller, making the D05 an easy transition for most gamers. The ABXY buttons are responsive, and the D-pad, with its metallic gold finish, offers solid tactile feedback. The triggers feel smooth and consistent, especially when paired with the Hall Effect sensors, which prevent any unwanted wear over time. I also appreciated the customizable button remapping feature, allowing me to quickly swap button functions when switching between different gaming platforms, particularly between Xbox and Nintendo. This added flexibility made the controller feel more versatile for different gaming setups, reducing the need for multiple controllers.

Battery life, on the other hand, was more than satisfactory. After a week of regular use, I didn’t find myself constantly charging the controller. The included charging dock, with its simple magnetic connection, made it convenient to keep the controller powered up between gaming sessions. The controller can also be used while charging via the USB-C cable, a nice feature for those in a pinch. The 1000Hz polling rate, combined with Hall Effect technology, ensures that every input is registered with minimal latency, which is a significant advantage in competitive gaming. Overall, the EasySMX D05 provides a balanced mix of comfort, performance, and practicality, making it a solid choice for casual and competitive gamers alike.

8.5Expert Score
Impressive

In conclusion, the EasySMX D05 Wireless Gaming Controller proves to be a solid choice for gamers who want a reliable and comfortable option without spending a lot. The controller feels good in hand, with an ergonomic design and a button layout that most players will find familiar, especially if they’ve used Xbox-style controllers before. The Hall Effect sensors for the thumbsticks and triggers really stand out, offering smooth and accurate control with no worries about stick drift over time. Whether you’re playing on PC, Nintendo Switch, or Android, the controller provides a stable connection and minimal input lag, making it suitable for a variety of gaming experiences.

The included charging dock adds convenience by keeping the controller powered up without the hassle of constantly plugging in cables. Battery life is more than adequate for extended play sessions, and the option to charge via USB-C or use the controller while plugged in is a useful feature. While it doesn’t have all the customization features of higher-end controllers, the EasySMX D05 offers a great mix of performance, comfort, and practicality at an affordable price. It’s a well-rounded option for anyone looking for a dependable wireless controller.

The model I have for review is the Purple Gradient edition, featuring Kailh Cyan Sea switches, a 5000mAh battery, and Cherry profile keycaps with side-printed legends.

What makes the GS75 interesting is its attention to detail. The choice of different switch types across editions means users can pick a version that matches their preference, whether they want a soft linear feel or a more tactile response. Combined with its larger battery and well-built frame, the GS75 promises a comfortable and reliable experience for daily use.

In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the EWEADN GS75’s design, build quality, and performance to see if it lives up to expectations. Can it truly compete with higher-end models while staying within a budget? Or is it just another keyboard that looks good on paper? Let’s put it to the test.

The EWEADN GS75 arrives in a simple black box with purple branding. The packaging highlights key features like a function key and multimedia knob. It’s a no-frills unboxing experience, focused more on protection than presentation.

Opening the box, the EWEADN GS75 is neatly packed inside a plastic cover for protection. The keyboard sits securely in a molded tray, preventing any movement during shipping. Alongside the keyboard, you get a detachable USB-C cable, a keycap/switch puller, three extra Kailh Cyan Sea Switches, and a manual.

The EWEADN GS75 has a compact 75% layout, keeping essential keys while reducing desk clutter. The black frame gives it a simple and modern look, with rounded edges and slim bezels for a clean finish. The Purple Gradient (Side-Printed) variant features a black case with purple keycaps, creating a distinct contrast. The gradient effect shifts from dark to light purple across the rows, adding a subtle but stylish touch.

The EWEADN GS75 keeps a good balance between size and functionality. With its 82-key layout, it includes essential keys like the function row and arrow keys, making it practical for both gaming and everyday use. The build is ABS plastic, which feels solid enough, though it doesn’t have the premium feel of metal keyboards. At 5.71 x 0.75 x 13.07 inches and 1129g, it has enough weight to stay put on a desk without being too heavy.

The rotary knob in the top-right corner is a useful addition for quick and easy volume control. Turning it left or right adjusts the volume, while a long press mutes the sound instantly. It feels solid and responsive, making it more convenient than using on-screen controls. The placement is practical, allowing easy access without reaching too far. It’s a simple but effective feature that improves everyday use.

The EWEADN GS75 sports a solid plastic chassis with a well-built frame that ensures stability on the desk. The underside features rubberized feet and adjustable kickstands for height customization, catering to different ergonomic preferences. A closer look at the side reveals multiple connectivity options, including a USB-C port, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless mode, making it a versatile choice for various setups. The dedicated switch for toggling between connection types, along with a Windows/Mac mode selector, adds to the keyboard’s user-friendly design.

The EWEADN GS75 is a well-built keyboard with a gasket-mounted design that focuses on sound and typing comfort. It features a six-layer padding system with PET sound pads, PORON foam, and IXPE switch pads, all working together to reduce noise and create a solid typing feel. The added shock absorption gives each keystroke a softer landing, making the keyboard quieter without sacrificing feedback. Whether you’re typing or gaming, the overall experience feels smooth and controlled.

The keyboard comes with pre-lubricated mechanical switches and carefully tuned stabilizers, which help minimize key wobble and improve consistency. Larger keys, like the spacebar and shift, feel especially stable, and the two-color injection-molded keycaps add to the durability. The keycaps won’t fade over time, and the materials feel solid under the fingers. Combined with a strong frame, the GS75 gives a premium typing experience that doesn’t feel hollow or cheap.

For everyday use, the GS75 performs well in both gaming and productivity tasks. Its wireless function allows for a cleaner desk setup, and the keyboard remains responsive without noticeable input lag. The silicone bottom pads keep it firmly in place, preventing unwanted movement while typing. While the switches aren’t hot-swappable, they are well-lubed from the factory, making this keyboard a good option for those who want a polished experience right out of the box.

Featuring high-quality PBT double-shot keycaps, it ensures durability while preventing key legends from fading over time. The matte surface enhances the overall feel, providing a smooth yet slightly textured touch that resists oil buildup. With a Cherry-profile design, the keys are sculpted to fit naturally under your fingers, promoting a comfortable and efficient typing experience. Whether you’re gaming or working, this keyboard promises reliable performance with a stylish edge.

Visually, the GS75 stands out with its unique color schemes, offering a blend of pastel hues and bold accents. The five different variations, each sporting a distinct combination of colors such as soft pinks, icy blues, and deep purples. The keyboard maintains a clean yet eye-catching look, the floating key design and slim bezels give it a modern appeal, making it a great addition to any setup. The contrast between black, white, and colorful keycaps adds depth, making each variant pop aesthetically.

With 16 million RGB colors, the GS75 transforms any workspace into a personalized experience. Users can easily adjust lighting modes, hues, and effects to match their mood or aesthetic preference. The built-in software allows further customization, letting you program different lighting profiles and key functions to suit your needs. Whether you prefer a subtle static glow or a dynamic wave effect, the GS75 delivers an immersive and visually stunning experience. This keyboard isn’t just about looks—it’s a blend of function and flair that enhances productivity and gaming alike.

The EWEADN GS75 is a feature-packed mechanical keyboard that caters to both gamers and enthusiasts with its hot-swappable PCB. This allows users to swap out 3-pin or 5-pin switches effortlessly, offering full customization over the typing feel. The GS75 supports a variety of switch types, and our review unit came equipped with Kailh Cyan Sea switches, a set specifically designed for smooth keystrokes and strong feedback. The keyboard’s RGB lighting system is also well-implemented, featuring a transparent switch housing and a frosted light guide column that enhances the glow for a more immersive setup.

The Kailh Cyan Sea switches strike a great balance between responsiveness and tactile feedback, making them an excellent choice for competitive gaming and content creation. With an actuation distance of 1.2mm and a 47gf trigger force, these switches deliver quick responses while minimizing accidental key presses. The total travel distance of 3.3mm ensures a solid keystroke, while the pre-applied factory lubrication provides a smoother, more refined feel right out of the box. Whether typing or gaming, the Cyan Sea switches feel stable and consistent, making them a strong alternative to traditional mechanical switches.

Beyond the switches, build quality and durability are standout aspects of the GS75. The keyboard is rated for up to 70 million keystrokes, ensuring long-term reliability. Additionally, the hot-swappable PCB means users can fine-tune their typing experience without needing to solder switches, making modifications accessible even to beginners. The accidental press prevention feature is especially useful during high-intensity gaming sessions, where mistyped commands can be costly. Combined with the enhanced RGB effects and solid switch performance, the EWEADN GS75 offers a compelling package for those looking for a reliable and customizable mechanical keyboard.

The EWEADN GS75 is a tri-mode keyboard with Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired connectivity. It can connect to five devices at once, making switching between PC, Mac, tablets, and even gaming consoles quick and easy. The wired mode is plug-and-play, while the Win & Mac switch allows seamless system swapping. A solid choice for work and gaming.

2.4 GHz Mode: For 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, the GS75 uses a straightforward pairing process. By holding FN + R for three seconds, the keyboard enters pairing mode, indicated by the green flashing light. Once the connection is established, the light returns to its normal effect. This mode ensures low-latency performance, which is ideal for gaming and tasks that require instant responsiveness. The dedicated dongle provides a stable connection, reducing interference issues commonly found in crowded wireless environments.

Bluetooth Mode: The Bluetooth functionality supports both 3.0 and 5.0 standards, allowing users to connect to different devices effortlessly. The pairing process is simple: pressing FN + Q, FN + W, or FN + E for three seconds puts the keyboard into pairing mode, with corresponding blue, yellow, and white LED indicators. This multi-device pairing feature is particularly useful for those who switch between a work laptop, personal tablet, or smartphone without needing to reconfigure connections. The Bluetooth 5.0 option ensures faster, more stable performance, while Bluetooth 3.0 provides backward compatibility with older devices.

Wired Mode: For those who prefer a wired setup, the USB-C connection delivers zero-latency performance and unlimited battery life during use. Simply plugging in the included cable instantly switches the keyboard into the wired mode, making it an excellent option for gaming sessions or intensive workloads. Whether you’re looking for a wireless experience with multiple device connectivity or a stable wired mode for professional use, the EWEADN GS75 provides an efficient and flexible solution that adapts to various needs.

The EWEADN GS75 is a solid entry into the world of wireless mechanical keyboards, offering an impressive 5000mAh battery that stands out in a market where longevity is often a concern. With the backlighting turned off, the keyboard boasts an outstanding 160 hours of usage, making it an excellent choice for users who don’t want to worry about frequent recharges. Even with the RGB lighting enabled, it still delivers a respectable 30 hours, which is more than enough for extended gaming or work sessions. This makes it a reliable option for both casual users and enthusiasts who prioritize battery life in their peripherals.

The GS75’s RGB lighting offers a good mix of customization and ease of use. With multiple effects, color options, and speed adjustments, users can fine-tune the lighting to match their setup. The brightness levels are well-balanced, making the lighting visible without being too distracting. The software interface is straightforward, making it easy to apply changes without digging through complicated menus. While it doesn’t have per-key lighting customization like some high-end models, it still provides enough flexibility for most users.

Apart from lighting, the software includes a simple but useful macro editor. Users can assign multi-key commands to specific keys, which is helpful for gaming or workflow automation. The debounce time adjustment is another practical feature, allowing users to fine-tune key responses for faster input. While the software isn’t as advanced as enthusiast-level options, it covers the basics well, ensuring a balance between functionality and simplicity. Overall, the GS75’s software enhances the experience without overwhelming the user with too many settings.

After using the EWEADN GS75 for a full week, I got a good feel for its strengths and weaknesses. Right away, the pre-lubed switches stood out, giving each keystroke a smooth and consistent feel. Typing for long hours felt comfortable, and there was no noticeable scratchiness. The gasket-mounted design and layered padding helped dampen noise, making the keyboard quieter without feeling mushy. Whether I was writing, gaming, or just browsing, the overall feel was solid and well-tuned.

Wireless performance was reliable throughout my testing. Switching between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz was quick and worked without any hiccups. I used it across multiple devices, swapping between a desktop, laptop, and tablet. The 2.4GHz connection was the best option for gaming, delivering fast response times without lag. Bluetooth worked well for casual use, like typing documents or chatting online. Battery life was also solid—I only needed to charge it once in the entire week, even with RGB lighting on at medium brightness.

The keyboard felt comfortable to use for extended sessions. The keycaps had a slight texture, which helped with grip, and the sculpted profile made typing feel natural. The adjustable kickstands allowed me to set the right angle, reducing strain on my wrists. The plastic build felt sturdy, though it didn’t have the premium weight of an aluminum case. Still, it stayed in place on the desk, thanks to the rubber feet. The rotary knob was a nice touch for quick volume control, something I found myself using often.

RGB lighting was a highlight, adding a nice visual element without being too distracting. The preset effects were varied enough, and while it didn’t have per-key customization, the lighting was bright and well-distributed. The software was simple but did the job, allowing me to tweak brightness and effects without too much hassle. After a week of daily use, the EWEADN GS75 proved to be a solid, well-rounded keyboard, offering a good balance of features, performance, and comfort.

8.8Expert Score
Budget-Friendly

The EWEADN GS75 is a well-rounded 75% keyboard that offers a comfortable typing experience with smooth Kailh Cyan Sea switches and a gasket-mounted design for better sound dampening. The build quality is solid despite its plastic frame, and the overall layout keeps essential keys while saving desk space.

With reliable wireless performance, multiple connectivity options, and long battery life, it fits well into both work and gaming setups. The software is simple but covers the basics, and while the keyboard isn’t hot-swappable, the factory-lubed switches perform well out of the box. The AULA F75 MAX comes in eye-catching packaging that immediately sets the tone for a gaming-focused product. The front of the box features a bold black and neon green theme, with a cyberpunk-inspired character design that adds a unique touch. The collaboration between Epomaker and Aula is prominently displayed, reinforcing the brand identity. The checkered pattern and sharp typography further enhance the aggressive, modern aesthetic. Meanwhile, the back of the box takes a more functional approach, showcasing a detailed wireframe of the keyboard along with essential specifications and certifications. This combination of style and practicality makes the packaging both visually appealing and informative, ensuring a strong first impression.

The keyboard is well-secured inside the box, protected by a clear plastic cover that keeps dust and minor scratches at bay. The packaging is neatly organized, with a separate compartment labeled “Additional Accessories,” housing the USB-C cable, extra switches, a keycap puller, and the user manual.

The Aula F75MAX refines the standard F75 with a few thoughtful upgrades while keeping the familiar 75% layout intact. The addition of a small display next to the rotary knob brings extra functionality without disrupting the clean and minimal design. Measuring 32.8×14.3×4.4cm and weighing around 0.96kg, it offers a compact footprint while maintaining a sturdy feel. Our review unit, the Black (OEM) variant with Grey Side-Printed Keycaps, features a balanced mix of professional and modern aesthetics. The black case and muted keycaps create a subtle yet refined look, making it a suitable choice for both gaming and productivity-focused setups.

The overall build feels solid, with a sturdy frame and a well-balanced weight that suggests durability. Build quality is another area where the Aula F75 MAX makes a strong impression. The chassis feels solid with minimal flex, thanks to its well-constructed plastic and metal combination. The surface has a smooth yet premium finish, resisting fingerprints and minor scratches well. Keycap alignment is precise, and there are no noticeable gaps or inconsistencies in assembly. Aula has clearly paid attention to detail, making the F75 MAX feel well-built and reliable for both gaming and everyday use.

The small display next to the rotary knob seamlessly integrates additional functionality while maintaining a clean and modern look. It not only provides a visual touch but also makes backlight customization more interactive with GIF support. The volume knob remains tactile and responsive, ensuring ease of use without unnecessary complexity. This thoughtful addition enhances both aesthetics and usability without feeling gimmicky.

The back of the keyboard is designed with convenience in mind. A magnetic storage slot securely holds the wireless receiver, ensuring it doesn’t get misplaced when not in use. The mode switch allows seamless toggling between wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless modes, making it easy to adapt to different setups. The USB-C port is well-placed for quick charging or a direct wired connection, offering flexibility for users who prefer a low-latency experience.

Flipping the AULA F75 Max over, the bottom panel keeps things functional with a matte black finish, rubberized feet for grip, and two-stage adjustable feet for customizable typing angles. The metal nameplate at the center is a nice touch, giving the keyboard a clean yet professional look without unnecessary branding clutter. The chassis feels sturdy with no noticeable flex, which speaks to solid build quality. The design choices here ensure the keyboard stays stable during use, whether for gaming or typing. Small details like these add to the overall premium feel, making it a competitive option in the 75% keyboard space.

The AULA F75 Max takes a refined approach to keyboard acoustics and feel with its gasket-mounted structure and partial flex-cut PC plate. This design effectively reduces the harshness of bottoming out, creating a softer typing experience that feels less fatiguing over long sessions. The use of plate-mounted stabilizers, while not as premium as screw-in variants, still provides a decent level of stability, and users have the option to swap them out if needed. Combined with the flex cuts in the polycarbonate (PC) plate, the result is a typing experience that leans toward a more flexible and cushioned feel.

Sound dampening is another area where AULA F75 Max impresses. With a five-layer dampening system that includes IXPE switch pads, a PET enhancement pad, bottom foam, and silicone, the keyboard minimizes unwanted resonance and hollowness. This allows for a more focused and refined sound signature, where each keystroke lands with a controlled, thocky tone. The addition of a sandwich pad between the plate and PCB further helps in balancing out the acoustic profile, ensuring that no part of the board feels overly hollow or thin-sounding.

Right out of the box, the factory-lubed stabilizers and linear switches contribute to a smooth, consistent keystroke with minimal rattle. The “creamy” and “thocky” combination is well-executed, offering a deep yet satisfying sound without excessive hollowness. AULA’s tuning approach makes the board feel polished, eliminating any need for immediate modifications. While enthusiasts might still want to fine-tune their stabilizers or swap switches, the stock setup is impressive for a pre-built option in this category. Whether for gaming or extended typing, the F75 Max delivers a refined and enjoyable experience.

The AULA F75 Max comes equipped with Cherry profile keycaps crafted from high-quality PBT plastic, ensuring a durable, textured surface that resists shine over time. These keycaps are produced using a double-shot molding process, guaranteeing that the legends remain intact even after extended use. The keyboard includes two distinct keycap sets—one featuring a blue and purple color scheme without shine-through legends, and another in a sleek grey finish with side-printed legends. The latter is specifically designed to complement the RGB lighting, providing an understated yet visually appealing effect without compromising the board’s clean design.

In terms of functionality, the Cherry profile keycaps offer a comfortable and responsive typing experience. Their sculpted shape promotes a natural hand position, reducing finger fatigue during prolonged use. Whether for gaming or productivity, the F75 Max benefits from software-based key remapping and macro support, allowing users to customize their workflow efficiently. The combination of these ergonomic design elements and customization options ensures a smooth and tailored user experience.

The keyboard’s south-facing per-key LEDs, paired with integrated light diffusers on the Reaper switches, enhance the RGB backlighting for a vibrant yet refined effect. The grey keycaps create a soft underflow rather than an overpowering brightness, making the lighting appear more diffused and aesthetically balanced. While the side-printed legends provide a unique lighting interaction, users who prefer a more traditional backlit experience may opt for different keycaps. However, for those who appreciate a minimalist design with subtle illumination, this setup offers an excellent balance between functionality and visual appeal.

The AULA F75 MAX is a hot-swappable keyboard that offers a high level of customization, catering to both casual users and keyboard enthusiasts. It comes equipped with plate-mounted stabilizers by default but supports 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, as well as screw-in stabilizers for those looking to fine-tune their typing feel and acoustics. The software suite further enhances its flexibility, allowing users to remap keys and create macros for increased efficiency and accessibility. Whether you’re aiming for a silent office setup or a crisp, tactile gaming experience, the F75 MAX provides a solid foundation for customization.

At the heart of the keyboard lies the LEOBOG Reaper Switch, a linear switch designed for precision and speed. With an initial actuation force of 36g and a bottom-out force of 55g, the Reaper delivers a smooth, consistent keystroke that feels effortless during rapid typing or gaming sessions. Its MX-style cross-stem ensures broad compatibility with most keycap sets, making switch swaps and customization straightforward. The addition of built-in light diffusers enhances the brightness and vibrancy of RGB lighting, making each keypress visually striking.

The build quality of the Reaper switch is reinforced with a POM stem, a PC top housing, and a nylon bottom housing, ensuring durability and a stable typing experience. Unlike some POM-based switches that can produce an unwanted rustling sound, the Reaper minimizes this issue, offering a quieter yet still satisfying keystroke. Paired with the AULA F75 MAX, these switches contribute to a rich and creamy sound profile with a subtle “thock,” making for an immersive and enjoyable typing experience.

A well-rounded gaming keyboard should offer both performance and flexibility, and this model delivers on both fronts. It features tri-mode connectivity—Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired—allowing you to switch seamlessly based on your needs. The 1000Hz polling rate in wired and 2.4GHz modes ensures ultra-fast response times, eliminating input lag. Full NKRO (N-Key Rollover) and anti-ghosting capabilities mean every keystroke registers accurately, even during intense gameplay. Beyond gaming, its compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android makes it a reliable choice for programmers and office use.

2.4 GHz Mode: Pairing the keyboard in 2.4GHz mode is effortless. Flip the switch to 2.4G, then hold Fn + ~ for three seconds until “2.4G Pairing” appears on the screen. Insert the USB dongle into your device, and once the display shows “2.4G Success!” with the indicator light turning solid, the connection is complete. This mode is perfect for gamers who need a stable and lag-free experience, rivaling that of wired keyboards.

Bluetooth Mode: For Bluetooth users, the keyboard supports up to three devices. Simply switch to BT mode, hold Fn + 1/2/3 for three seconds, and wait for the screen to display “BT1/2/3 Pairing.” Select “AULA F75 Max-1/2/3” from your device’s Bluetooth menu, and once the connection is successful, the indicator light will stop flashing. Switching between paired devices is quick with Fn + 1/2/3, making it ideal for multitaskers who juggle between PCs, tablets, and smartphones.

Wired Mode: Wired mode offers the most stable connection and requires no setup—just toggle the switch to the middle position and plug in the USB-C cable. One convenient feature is that the keyboard charges while plugged in, whether you’re in wired or wireless mode. With multiple connectivity options, a high polling rate, and strong key rollover support, this keyboard is designed to handle both gaming and productivity with ease.

The AULA F75 Max comes equipped with a 4000mAh battery, which delivers around 30.5 hours of use with the backlight on and extends up to 80 hours with the backlight off. This is fairly standard for a wireless mechanical keyboard in this range, ensuring that users don’t have to reach for the charging cable too often. The ability to monitor battery levels directly on the keyboard’s screen is a useful addition, allowing you to keep track of power without relying on software or guesswork.

To help conserve battery, the keyboard automatically enters deep sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. When this happens, the backlighting turns off, and the keyboard disconnects from its active connection. A simple key press wakes it up instantly and reconnects it without noticeable delay, making the transition seamless for daily use. This feature helps balance battery life and convenience, especially for those who prefer wireless setups.

The AULA F75 Max integrates well with the AULA Driver software, providing an intuitive way to tweak key settings. While it doesn’t offer the deep programmability of VIA or QMK, the software keeps things simple and functional, making it easy for most users to navigate. It strikes a good balance between accessibility and customization, ensuring a hassle-free setup without overwhelming options.

RGB lighting customization is a strong point, with plenty of effects, colors, and speed adjustments to fine-tune the look to your preference. The software also includes a macro editor, allowing users to assign complex commands to specific keys—useful for both productivity and gaming. Additionally, the ability to adjust debounce time helps improve response rates, particularly in fast-paced scenarios. These features come together to make the AULA F75 Max a well-rounded option for those who want flexibility without unnecessary complexity.

The AULA F75 MAX’s software offers customization for the TFT screen, allowing users to upload static images or simple animations like GIFs. This adds a personal touch, whether it’s displaying system info like battery life and time or custom graphics like logos and icons. The process is straightforward and works well, but it does feel somewhat basic. More advanced features, such as dynamic widgets or real-time system monitoring, would make it even more useful for enthusiasts who want deeper customization.

After spending a week with the AULA F75 Max, it’s clear that this keyboard brings a refined experience without straying too far from its predecessor. The compact 75% layout is comfortable for both gaming and productivity, offering just the right balance between space efficiency and functionality. The smart TFT display, while initially feeling like a novelty, quickly became a useful feature for checking connectivity status and switching modes without relying on software. The volume knob is also a welcome addition, making quick audio adjustments seamless during gaming and media consumption.

Typing on the F75 Max has been an enjoyable experience, thanks to the gasket-mounted structure and flex-cut PC plate. The stock LEOBOG Reaper linear switches feel smooth and responsive, with a soft bottom-out that prevents fatigue during extended sessions. The stabilizers come pre-lubed and feel well-tuned out of the box, reducing rattle and improving the overall typing feel. Sound-wise, the dampening layers do an excellent job of eliminating hollow noises, giving the keyboard a refined “thocky” profile that enthusiasts will appreciate. While some users may prefer aftermarket tuning for an even more tailored sound, the stock configuration is more than adequate for most.

On the connectivity side, switching between Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired modes was effortless. The 2.4GHz mode provided a lag-free experience during gaming, with no noticeable input delay even in fast-paced shooters. Battery life held up well, lasting around two full days with RGB on and extending close to a week with lighting disabled. The automatic sleep mode helped conserve battery without being intrusive, waking up almost instantly when a key was pressed. Overall, the F75 Max proved to be a solid daily driver, offering a good mix of performance, comfort, and versatility without any major drawbacks.

8.5Expert Score
Budget-Friendly

The AULA F75 Max successfully builds upon its predecessor by refining the user experience without making unnecessary changes. The addition of a smart TFT display and a volume knob brings extra functionality while keeping the layout clean and intuitive. The gasket-mounted structure and flex-cut PC plate contribute to a satisfying typing experience, with well-tuned stabilizers and smooth LEOBOG Reaper switches enhancing overall comfort. The sound-dampening system ensures a rich and controlled acoustic profile, making this keyboard a solid choice for both gaming and everyday use.

On the connectivity front, the tri-mode functionality works seamlessly, with 2.4GHz wireless delivering a lag-free experience and Bluetooth providing easy multi-device pairing. Battery life is respectable, and the automatic sleep function helps extend usage time. While the software lacks the depth of VIA or QMK, it offers enough customization to satisfy most users. For those looking for a compact 75% keyboard with modern features, solid build quality, and a refined typing feel, the AULA F75 Max is a strong contender in its price range.

Finding the right mechanical keyboard can be a challenge, especially when you’re looking for a mix of aesthetics, performance, and versatility. Right out of the box, the brand sets a bold tone with a visually striking purple-themed box featuring a wireframe illustration of the keyboard. The back highlights key features such as VIA compatibility, a CNC aluminum body, and a patent tenon-and-mortise structure for improved durability. The playful mascot holding an “Enter” key adds a fun touch, but the real question is whether the keyboard lives up to its promising first impression.

Unboxing the keyboard, you’re greeted with a well-organized package that includes the keyboard itself, a keycap puller, a switch puller, a detachable USB-C cable, and an extra FR4 plate for customization. The accessories are neatly arranged, and the secure packaging ensures everything stays in place during shipping. The additional plate is a welcome inclusion, allowing users to fine-tune the typing feel without needing to purchase extra parts separately.

The KiiBoom Moonshadow V2 takes a minimalist yet high-tech approach to design, featuring a refined aluminum chassis that feels both premium and durable. Our review unit, finished in anodized black, has a smooth, matte texture that resists fingerprints and minor scratches, ensuring it looks pristine even with daily use. The 6063 aluminum frame gives the keyboard a solid, weighty feel, eliminating any signs of flex while adding to its overall stability. With additional finish options like anodized silver and electrophoretic pink, the Moonshadow V2 caters to different aesthetic preferences while maintaining its sleek, futuristic appeal.

The Moonshadow V2 doesn’t just focus on aesthetics—it brings a well-thought-out design that prioritizes both usability and build quality. The 75% layout ensures a compact footprint while retaining dedicated function keys, making it a great middle-ground for gamers and productivity users alike. The inclusion of a metal knob adds a touch of convenience, allowing quick volume adjustments or custom functions. With its 1.56kg weight and sturdy frame, the keyboard stays firmly in place during intense typing or gaming sessions, reinforcing its premium feel without unnecessary bulk.

The addition of a metal volume knob on the Moonshadow V2 is a small but meaningful upgrade that significantly improves usability. The original model had a sleek, minimalist design but lacked dedicated volume control, which could be inconvenient during gaming or multitasking. With the V2, adjusting sound levels on the fly is effortless, whether you’re deep in a game, streaming content, or juggling multiple tasks. The tactile feel of the metal knob also adds a touch of refinement, making the overall experience feel more premium without overcomplicating the design.

The back edge of the keyboard features a well-thought-out layout for connectivity and compatibility. A centrally placed USB-C port ensures an easy wired connection, while two textured toggle switches sit on either side. One switch allows users to swap between Windows and macOS modes, catering to different operating system preferences. The other switch toggles between USB, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless modes, offering flexibility for various setups.

The underside of the KiiBOOM keyboard sports a sleek yet functional design. The combination of matte black and metallic silver creates a striking contrast, while the angular pattern adds a touch of modern aesthetics. The branding is subtly engraved into the silver section, blending in without being too aggressive. Four rubberized feet are positioned at the corners to ensure a firm grip on different surfaces, preventing any unwanted sliding during use. However, the absence of adjustable feet means users are stuck with a fixed typing angle, which could be a drawback for those who prefer customization in ergonomics.

The Moonshadow V2 is designed with a thoughtful approach to both customization and user experience. With the inclusion of FR4 and PC plates, users can choose between a firmer, deeper sound profile or a softer, bouncier typing feel. The ability to swap between these plates allows for fine-tuning to individual preferences, making the keyboard versatile for different use cases. Additionally, with support for both plate-mounted and screw-in stabilizers, the Moonshadow V2 provides smooth and rattle-free key presses, ensuring a refined typing experience.

The ball catch locking system simplifies the assembly process by eliminating the need for screws to secure the case. This design not only makes modifications and maintenance more convenient but also helps reduce vibrations, leading to a cleaner and more consistent sound profile. The locking mechanism ensures a firm connection between the case components without compromising structure, making it a great choice for users who enjoy fine-tuning their build without hassle.

To further enhance comfort and acoustics, the Moonshadow V2 integrates multiple layers of damping materials, including PORON sandwich foam, IXPE switch pads, PET acoustic film, and bottom foam. Combined with the gasket-mounted structure, these elements contribute to a softer typing feel while delivering a balanced and refined sound signature. Whether for gaming or extended typing sessions, this keyboard provides a well-rounded experience that meets the demands of both casual users and enthusiasts.

The keycaps follow the Cherry profile, a popular choice among enthusiasts for its sculpted and ergonomic design. This profile provides a comfortable typing angle, reducing finger fatigue over long sessions. Compared to OEM keycaps, Cherry-profile keycaps sit slightly lower, offering a more controlled feel, which is ideal for both gaming and daily typing. The colorway blends cream, black, and orange for a distinct yet balanced aesthetic, with novelty keycaps adding a bit of personality. The legends are dye-sublimated, meaning they won’t fade over time, but some alignment inconsistencies are noticeable, especially on darker keycaps.

Constructed from 5-side dye-sub PBT, these keycaps boast excellent durability and resistance to wear. PBT plastic is known for its textured surface, preventing the keys from developing a shiny appearance over time. The 5-side dye-sublimation process allows for more detailed and vibrant designs, ensuring the legends and side prints remain crisp even with heavy use. Additionally, the keycaps have a solid thickness, contributing to a deeper and more satisfying sound profile when typing. While the material and finish are premium, a slight refinement in print consistency would enhance the overall presentation.

The Moonshadow V2 features south-facing RGB backlighting, ensuring better keycap compatibility and a more uniform glow. The lighting is bright, customizable, and well-executed, allowing users to tweak colors and effects to match their setup. Whether you’re gaming late at night or working in a well-lit environment, the RGB remains vivid without being overly intrusive. While aesthetics play a big role, the keyboard doesn’t just rely on flashy lights—it also focuses on delivering a solid typing experience with responsive key switches and a well-built frame.

Pre-installed with KiiBOOM Flick switches, it offers a smooth and lightweight linear typing experience with a 45gf actuation force and 50gf bottom-out force. While this setup works well for those who prefer a softer keystroke, gamers who like a more responsive feel may want a different switch type. Thankfully, the hot-swappable PCB allows users to replace switches easily, making customization simple without the need for soldering.

Typing on the Moonshadow V2 feels comfortable and consistent. The 3.6mm total travel distance and 2.0mm pre-travel provide a responsive experience, whether for work or casual use. The polycarbonate housing gives the keyboard a sturdy feel while keeping the weight manageable. Stabilizers are well-tuned, reducing rattle on larger keys like the spacebar and enter key. This attention to detail enhances the overall feel, making typing smooth and enjoyable without unwanted noise or wobble.

For gaming, the Moonshadow V2 includes full-key rollover and anti-ghosting, ensuring every keystroke registers accurately. The linear switches provide quick actuation, which works well for fast-paced games, though some players may prefer switches with more resistance for better control. The keyboard also features programmable macros, making it easier to execute complex commands with a single keypress. This added flexibility helps both gamers and productivity-focused users streamline their experience.

The Moonshadow V2 packs a sizable 4000mAh battery, which ensures extended wireless operation without frequent interruptions. According to KiiBoom’s internal testing, the keyboard delivers around 23 hours of use with the backlight on and an impressive 200 hours with the lighting turned off. This makes it a solid option for users who prefer long gaming or work sessions without worrying about constantly plugging in. The convenience doesn’t stop there—whether you’re using Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless mode, the keyboard charges seamlessly when plugged in, so there’s no need to switch between wired and wireless modes manually.

Keeping track of battery life is just as easy, thanks to a simple onboard indicator system. By holding Fn + Backspace, the number row lights up to represent the remaining charge—for example, if keys 1 through 6 illuminate, the battery is at 60%, while a fully lit row means 100%. Additionally, the keyboard provides clear status indicators: a blinking red Fn key signals a low battery, while the Win key lights up when the Windows Lock function is active. These small but effective details make the Moonshadow V2 more user-friendly, ensuring you’re always aware of its power status without relying on external software.

The Moonshadow V2 wireless gaming keyboard is built with versatility in mind, offering three connectivity options—Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB Type-C. This makes it a strong contender for users who need seamless transitions between gaming, work, and general use. The keyboard maintains a stable connection across all modes, ensuring low latency when gaming wirelessly and providing a direct, zero-lag experience when plugged in via USB. Whether you’re looking for convenience on the go or a reliable wired setup, the Moonshadow V2 covers all bases.

Pairing Bluetooth

Pairing via Bluetooth is straightforward and allows users to connect up to three devices simultaneously. By holding Fn+1!/2@/3#, the keyboard enters pairing mode, making it easy to switch between devices without hassle. This feature is particularly useful for those who work across multiple platforms, such as a PC, tablet, and smartphone. The connection remains stable during extended use, with no noticeable input delay, making it a great option for casual gaming and everyday productivity.

Pairing Wireless 2.4Ghz

For users who prefer a more responsive wireless experience, the 2.4GHz mode offers a lower-latency connection using the included dongle. The pairing process is quick—simply toggle to the 2.4G mode, hold Fn+4$, and insert the dongle into a USB port. Once connected, the keyboard delivers a near-instantaneous response, making it a more viable option for fast-paced gaming where every millisecond counts. Compared to Bluetooth, the 2.4GHz mode ensures a more stable signal, especially in environments with multiple wireless devices.

Wired Mode

For those who prefer a wired connection, the USB Type-C mode provides the most reliable and consistent performance. Simply switching to USB mode and plugging in the keyboard guarantees uninterrupted use with no risk of interference or battery concerns. This is the preferred choice for competitive gamers who need the lowest input latency possible. Overall, the Moonshadow V2 strikes a balance between convenience and performance, making it an excellent choice for users who demand flexibility in their peripherals.

The KiiBOOM Moonshadow V2 delivers a refined balance between performance and customization, catering to both enthusiasts and casual users looking for a flexible mechanical keyboard. With QMK/VIA compatibility, users gain extensive control over key remapping, macros, and layers without needing complex firmware flashing. The VIA software provides an accessible way to tweak the keyboard’s layout, whether it’s for gaming shortcuts, productivity enhancements, or ergonomic adjustments. This level of customization, combined with seamless multi-platform support for Windows, macOS, and Android, makes the Moonshadow V2 a solid option for users who frequently switch between different workflows or gaming setups.

Setting up VIA is straightforward, with real-time changes taking effect instantly—eliminating the need for tedious trial-and-error adjustments. Loading a custom .JSON profile ensures users can personalize their keymaps right away, whether using the keyboard in wired or wireless mode. The intuitive nature of the software makes it easy to experiment with different functions, from macro assignments to per-key RGB lighting effects, without diving into technical hurdles. Once properly configured, the Moonshadow V2 becomes more than just a keyboard; it’s a tailored experience designed to fit individual needs, whether for high-paced gaming or daily productivity.

After using the KiiBOOM Moonshadow V2 for a week, the build quality feels solid with no noticeable flex. The aluminum chassis gives it a premium feel, and the 75% layout keeps it compact while still having all the necessary keys. Typing on the Flick switches is smooth, though they are on the lighter side, which may not suit those who prefer more resistance. The stabilizers are well-lubed, keeping larger keys like the spacebar and the enter key free from rattle. Over time, the keyboard remained consistent, with no key wobble or switch issues.

Wireless performance has been reliable in both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz modes. There was no noticeable input lag, and the 2.4GHz connection worked well during fast-paced gaming. The battery lasted several days with moderate RGB brightness, and with the lighting turned off, it easily went beyond a week. Switching between devices was quick using the dedicated toggle switch, which was useful for working across multiple setups.

Customization through VIA was easy to use. Changing key functions, setting macros, and adjusting RGB lighting didn’t take much effort. The rotary knob made volume adjustments and other functions more convenient. Default lighting effects looked great, but deeper customization allowed for a more personal touch. VIA offers a lot of flexibility, though users new to the software might need some time to get used to it.

The fixed typing angle might not work for everyone, as there are no adjustable feet. The Cherry-profile keycaps felt comfortable, but some legends had minor alignment inconsistencies. This doesn’t affect performance, but it’s noticeable upon close inspection. Despite these small issues, the Moonshadow V2 delivers a well-balanced experience, offering a mix of aesthetics, performance, and useful features.

9.1Expert Score
Premium & Well-built

The KiiBOOM Moonshadow V2 successfully blends aesthetics, performance, and versatility into a well-rounded mechanical keyboard. With a sturdy aluminum build, hot-swappable switches, and customizable features through QMK/VIA, it caters to both gamers and productivity-focused users. The inclusion of a metal volume knob, multiple connectivity options, and thoughtful sound dampening adds to its premium appeal. Wireless performance remains stable, and the 4000mAh battery provides extended usage without frequent recharging. While the default Flick switches offer a smooth and light typing feel, those who prefer more resistance can easily swap them out, thanks to the hot-swappable PCB.

That said, the Moonshadow V2 isn’t without minor drawbacks. The lack of adjustable feet means users are limited to a fixed typing angle, which may not suit everyone. Some keycap legends exhibit slight alignment inconsistencies, though this doesn’t impact functionality. Additionally, while VIA software enhances customization, first-time users may need some time to navigate its features. Despite these minor issues, the Moonshadow V2 stands out as a well-designed keyboard that delivers on both performance and aesthetics. Whether for gaming or daily use, it offers a refined experience that should appeal to a wide range of users.

In daily use, the front camera remains virtually invisible, making for an immersive display without distractions.

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that delivers a premium visual experience. With a 2480×1116 resolution, a high pixel density of 400 PPI, and a 120Hz refresh rate, the screen ensures sharp details, smooth motion, and a fluid user experience. Its peak brightness of 1500 nits keeps visibility strong even in bright conditions, while full DCI-P3 coverage and support for 1.07 billion colors provide rich and accurate color reproduction. The near-borderless design, made possible by COP packaging technology, enhances immersion, and the ZREAL Frame Enjoy Ultra HD certification further guarantees sharpness and responsiveness.

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version brings some notable advancements, particularly with its sixth-generation under-screen camera and ultra-thin fingerprint technology. While the concept of a true full-screen experience is appealing, the execution isn’t entirely seamless. The area above the under-display camera has a visible difference in pixel density, forming a faint yet noticeable outline that can be seen under certain lighting conditions. This could be a trade-off to enhance light transmittance for better image quality. On the fingerprint side, the performance remains on par with standard optical sensors, offering reliable and quick unlocking without any significant improvements or drawbacks.

Performance & Benchmarks

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version packs Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version, essentially an overclocked variant of the standard 8 Gen 3. The CPU’s peak clock speed sees a minor bump from 3.3GHz to 3.4GHz, while the AI engine now delivers 73 TOPS, making it the most powerful Snapdragon chip yet. However, in synthetic benchmarks, the performance uplift isn’t groundbreaking. Our unit comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast memory speeds. For testing, we disabled memory expansion and enabled Awakening Mode during gaming to push the phone to its limits and see how well it holds up under heavy loads.

The nubia Z60 Ultra, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition, delivers a noticeable performance jump over its predecessor. In our AnTuTu benchmark, the device scored an impressive 18,43,555 points, marking a 19.3% increase compared to the nubia Z50 running Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This improvement translates to better responsiveness in everyday tasks, faster app launches, and a smoother overall experience, particularly in high-performance scenarios like gaming and multitasking.

Geekbench 6 results further highlight the CPU advancements, with the Z60 Ultra scoring 2190 in single-core and 6673 in multi-core tests. Compared to its predecessor, this represents a 14.90% boost in single-core and a 27.35% improvement in multi-core performance. More importantly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s enhanced GPU capabilities deliver over 60% better graphics performance. This translates into higher frame rates and better visual fidelity in demanding games, making it a solid choice for mobile gamers.

Storage speeds also meet flagship standards, thanks to UFS 4.0. Our tests recorded sequential read speeds of 3.54GB/s and write speeds of 3.40GB/s, ensuring fast load times and smooth file transfers. Random read and write speeds also remain strong at 824.0MB/s and 976.0MB/s, respectively, reducing stuttering in applications and making high-resolution media handling seamless. These improvements solidify the nubia Z60 Ultra as a top-tier performer in the 2024 smartphone lineup.

In our gaming tests, we focused on two demanding mobile titles: PUBG: Mobile and Genshin Impact. The testing environment was set at a controlled indoor temperature of 28°C, ensuring consistency. Our priority was frame rate stability, but we also tracked power consumption, efficiency, and heat buildup over extended sessions. PUBG: Mobile was tested at its highest available settings with a 90 FPS cap, while Genshin Impact was pushed to its maximum graphical settings to stress the hardware. This allowed us to evaluate how well the device handles prolonged gaming sessions without significant throttling or overheating.

We started our testing with PUBG: Mobile set to smooth graphics at 90 FPS. During a battle, the frame rate consistently hits 90 FPS without noticeable dips or stutters. Looking at the frame time graph, there were no unexpected spikes, indicating stable performance throughout the match. The experience felt fluid, with no input lag or rendering delays, making it an excellent choice for competitive play.

After an hour of gaming, the device maintained reasonable temperatures, with the back of the chassis reaching a peak of 37.9°C and the front hitting 39.6°C. While the front panel gets noticeably warm, especially around the heat-generating components, it never becomes uncomfortably hot to the touch. The cooling system seems to do a decent job of keeping thermals in check, ensuring sustained performance without excessive heat buildup.

Running Genshin Impact at maximum settings with 60 FPS mode enabled and motion blur turned off, we conducted a 30-minute stress test to assess performance stability. The game maintained an average frame rate of 60.41 FPS throughout, with no major fluctuations or sudden drops. Even in demanding scenarios, such as intense battles and dense environments, the frame pacing remained smooth, ensuring a consistent gameplay experience. This indicates that the hardware handles the game efficiently, making it a reliable choice for players who want to enjoy Genshin Impact at its best without performance hiccups.

During our Genshin Impact test, the nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version maintained good thermal control. The highest temperature recorded on the back was 42.8°C, while the front peaked at 42.9°C. Despite these numbers, the heat was well distributed, and the areas where your hands rest remained comfortable. Even during extended gameplay, there was no noticeable discomfort or excessive warmth in the touch-sensitive regions, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience without thermal interference.

MyOS14 with Android 14

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version keeps things refreshingly clean with its MyOS 14 skin on top of Android 14. There’s no unnecessary bloatware, which is a big plus, and the level of customization is impressive. You can tweak the UI extensively, from animated wallpapers to system-wide effects, fonts, and Always-On Display settings. Everything looks well-integrated, and unlike some heavily skinned Android versions, MyOS 14 feels polished rather than overwhelming. If you prefer a more stock-like experience, you can ignore most of the extra features without them getting in the way.

The customizable switch on the side adds an extra layer of convenience. It can be mapped to functions like muting notifications, launching the flashlight, camera, voice recorder, or even opening the gaming space app. On top of that, nubia has included a few extra navigation tools like Z-Pop (a shortcut pop-up), ZSmart SideBar (an edge-activated menu), and floating windows for multitasking. The overall experience remains smooth and responsive, ensuring that whether you take advantage of these additions or stick to the basics, the phone won’t feel cluttered or overcomplicated.

Game Space

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version takes mobile gaming to the next level with its Game Space utility, a feature that hardcore gamers might recognize from Red Magic phones. The symmetrical in-game overlay provides instant access to crucial performance stats, including CPU and GPU frequencies and a real-time FPS counter. The layout is intuitive, allowing players to tweak settings on the fly without disrupting their gaming experience. This is a serious advantage for those who want to fine-tune performance or monitor system stability mid-game.

Digging deeper into the advanced settings, nubia includes tools that cater to both competitive and casual players. The X Gravity system lets users map external controllers, keyboards, and mice to on-screen touch controls, improving precision in fast-paced titles. Features like Auxiliary Line and AI Trigger add tactical depth, whether it’s tracking ability ranges or automating actions like reloading. The built-in Crosshair overlay can even zoom into specific areas, giving FPS players an edge in gunfights. While the Z60 Ultra might attract buyers for its camera system, its gaming optimizations could be the real reason they stick around.

Camera

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version brings a compelling camera setup with its versatile triple-camera system. The combination of a 50MP main camera with a 35mm focal length, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens at 85mm, and an 18mm ultra-wide-angle lens ensures users get a full range of shooting options. The inclusion of optical image stabilization (OIS) on both the main and telephoto cameras helps in reducing motion blur, especially in low-light conditions. The under-display 12MP front camera maintains the phone’s sleek design without compromising on selfies. Complementing the hardware, nubia has integrated a laser focus sensor, flicker sensor, and multispectral color temperature sensor, aiming to enhance autofocus speed and color accuracy.

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version packs an extensive set of camera modes, conveniently tucked into the “camera family” menu on the far left of the camera app. From star trails and moon photography to light painting, slow motion, macro, and even multi-camera options, there’s plenty to explore. While most users might not rely on these features daily, they add an extra layer of creativity when the right moment arises. Whether capturing a detailed close-up or experimenting with long-exposure shots, these options help make mobile photography more engaging.

Where the Z60 Ultra Leading Version truly stands out is in its AI-powered imaging enhancements. Features like AI Telephoto Super Score improve zoomed-in shots by reconstructing fine details, while the AI Ultra HD Algorithm sharpens images in real time for a more natural look. Night photography sees a boost with the AI Telephoto Moon feature, designed to capture detailed and well-defined shots of the moon. The AI flash capture mode ensures quick snaps are crisp, making street photography or spontaneous moments easy to capture. With this advanced camera system, nubia is clearly pushing mobile photography to a new level. But does it translate into real-world performance? Let’s dive into some sample shots to find out.

The nubia Z60 Ultra takes a different approach to mobile photography with its custom Sony IMX906 main camera. Unlike the standard 24mm focal length found in most smartphones, this sensor offers a slightly tighter field of view, reducing the need for digital zoom or cropping when framing shots. This design choice makes subject isolation more natural, especially in portrait and street photography. Additionally, the large sensor helps maintain a balanced color profile, avoiding the overly boosted contrast and saturation often seen in smartphone cameras. The result is a more true-to-life image that closely matches what the human eye perceives.

The main camera of the nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Edition handles direct lighting impressively, maintaining bright areas without overexposure while keeping shadows detailed and well-defined. Noise is well-controlled, ensuring a clean and balanced image. In low-light conditions, the camera excels at preserving fine details while effectively reducing noise, producing sharp and natural-looking night shots. Even without advanced photography skills, users can capture stunning night scenes with ease, making it a solid choice for those who want reliable camera performance in various lighting conditions.

The 85mm periscope telephoto lens delivers a 2.4x optical zoom, which might seem lower on paper, but in real-world use, it produces results comparable to phones with a 3.5x zoom. Images taken with this lens show a noticeable boost in color saturation compared to the main camera, making photos appear more vibrant. Details in highlights and shadows remain well-preserved, and textures come through clearly, ensuring that subjects retain a natural look without excessive sharpening. While it doesn’t push boundaries in zoom performance, it holds its own with solid image quality and reliable consistency.

The 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version is designed to capture expansive scenes with impressive clarity. Thanks to its large sensor, it brings in plenty of light, preserving details even in challenging backlit conditions. Whether you’re shooting landscapes or group photos, the camera delivers well-balanced exposure with natural-looking highlights and shadows. nubia has also included automatic distortion correction, which helps maintain straight lines and prevents the stretching effect often seen at the edges of wide-angle shots. This ensures that images look natural and true to life without unwanted warping.

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version delivers a versatile and well-rounded camera system, featuring a 50MP main sensor with a unique 35mm focal length, an 85mm periscope telephoto lens, and an 18mm ultra-wide lens. With optical image stabilization (OIS) and AI-powered enhancements, it aims to provide sharp, detailed images in various lighting conditions. The camera app is packed with creative modes, making it a solid choice for photography enthusiasts. While it brings impressive hardware and software optimizations, real-world performance will ultimately determine if it stands out in the competitive flagship market.

Battery

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version makes a strong case for battery endurance, thanks to its massive 6000mAh silicon-carbon anode battery. With AI-driven power management, the device significantly reduces overnight battery drain, making it more efficient than its predecessor. In real-world usage, the phone easily lasted beyond a full day on a single charge, even with moderate to heavy usage. This is a notable improvement over many flagship smartphones, which often struggle to maintain such longevity under similar conditions.

Despite the increased battery capacity, nubia has retained the 80W fast charging, ensuring quick top-ups when needed. In our tests, the device reached 33% in just 10 minutes and achieved a full charge in 42 minutes—impressive for a battery of this size. With nearly 13.5 hours of screen-on time, the Z60 Ultra Leading Version is a powerhouse for users who prioritize long-lasting performance without compromising on charging speed. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, or working on the go, this phone minimizes battery anxiety and keeps up with demanding tasks effortlessly.

Conclusion

9.2Expert Score
Flagship-Grade

The nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version stands out as a smartphone that isn’t afraid to do things differently. From its uninterrupted full-screen design to its powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a well-optimized camera system, it checks many boxes for enthusiasts seeking both performance and innovation. The under-display camera technology, while impressive, still has room for improvement in seamless integration, but it does contribute to an immersive viewing experience.

Performance-wise, the device delivers flagship-level power, handling demanding games and multitasking with ease. The thermal management holds up well, ensuring sustained performance without excessive heat buildup. On the software side, MyOS 14 keeps things clean and customizable, avoiding unnecessary clutter while offering useful enhancements for power users.

Battery life remains solid, and the inclusion of an 80W fast charger in the box is a welcome touch. The camera system provides excellent results, especially with its 35mm main sensor and well-tuned AI processing. While it may not surpass the absolute best in mobile photography, it holds its own with balanced colors, sharp details, and solid low-light performance.

However, the device isn’t without drawbacks. The lack of wireless charging and an official IP rating may be dealbreakers for some, and its bulky design won’t appeal to those who prefer lighter, more compact smartphones. Additionally, while the full-screen experience is impressive, under-display cameras still lag behind traditional selfie shooters in clarity and consistency.

Overall, the nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version is a bold flagship that caters to users who prioritize an immersive display, powerful performance, and a versatile camera setup. It’s not a device for everyone, but for those who appreciate its unique design choices and gaming-friendly optimizations, it’s a compelling alternative in the high-end smartphone market.

Compatible with Windows and MacOS, it ensures seamless transitions. The sleek rear design features a futuristic model sticker, while its solid build adds durability. Four rubber pads provide stability and a slight lift for enhanced typing comfort.

The EPOMAKER Galaxy100 immediately impresses with its well-engineered gasket-mount design, which provides a balance between structure and flexibility. Unlike traditional tray-mounted keyboards, this layout allows for a softer, more cushioned feel, reducing harsh impacts from key presses. The inclusion of premium sound-dampening materials like Poron, IXPE, EMDP, and a PET Sound Enhancement Pad ensures that every keystroke is met with a deep, satisfying “thock” rather than an intrusive clatter. This design not only enhances the sound profile but also reduces finger strain, making extended typing sessions more comfortable.

Typing on the Galaxy100 is a delight, thanks to its pre-lubed linear switches that offer an exceptionally smooth feel with no scratchiness. The five layers of cushioning work together to absorb vibrations, creating a creamy, muted sound that mechanical keyboard enthusiasts will appreciate. The stabilizers are well-tuned, preventing any rattle on larger keys like the spacebar and the Enter key. Whether typing documents or engaging in fast-paced gaming, the keyboard delivers a consistently premium experience with each keystroke feeling refined and responsive.

Beyond its typing performance, the Galaxy100 offers practical features that elevate its functionality. The inclusion of a Numpad is a significant advantage for professionals who frequently work with numbers, while the metal rotary knob adds convenience for volume control and other customizable functions. The additional programmable keys allow for extensive personalization, making it easy to tailor the keyboard to specific workflows or gaming setups. With its solid build quality, satisfying acoustics, and thoughtful ergonomic design, the Galaxy100 stands out as a versatile and high-performing mechanical keyboard.

The EPOMAKER Galaxy100 keyboard offers a blend of style and practicality with its dual keycap profile options. The Grey variant sports Cherry Profile keycaps, which are favored for their ergonomic shape and reliable keypress consistency. Made from high-quality PBT plastic using a double-shot technique, these keycaps resist wear and maintain their legends even after prolonged use. Meanwhile, the Black version adopts the MDA profile, providing a slightly taller and more sculpted feel that appeals to users who prefer a more uniform typing experience. The combination of these materials and manufacturing techniques ensures a durable and visually appealing setup.

Beyond durability, the Galaxy100’s keycaps enhance customization options for keyboard enthusiasts. The double-shot and dye-sublimation processes used in these keycaps allow for vibrant, long-lasting legends that won’t fade easily. This makes the keyboard not only a reliable daily driver but also a great choice for those who enjoy experimenting with different aesthetics. With a swappable keycap design, users can easily personalize their layout, mixing and matching with other compatible sets. Whether you prefer the classic feel of Cherry Profile or the unique contour of MDA, the Galaxy100 delivers a premium typing experience tailored to individual preferences.

The EPOMAKER Galaxy100 keyboard strikes a balance between style and durability, making it a solid choice for gamers and typists alike. Its south-facing LEDs enhance the RGB lighting, ensuring a bright and immersive experience from the user’s perspective. With customizable per-key illumination, users can fine-tune colors, brightness, and effects to suit their personal preferences. The keycaps, made from thick PBT material, resist wear and maintain their vibrant legends over time. While they are not shine-through, their high-quality dye-sublimated design ensures long-lasting visibility and a satisfying tactile feel with every keystroke.

Each key on the keyboard features a south-facing LED, ensuring a brighter and more vivid glow from the typist’s perspective. The individually lit keys offer fully customizable RGB lighting, allowing gamers to tweak brightness, colors, and effects to match their setup or mood. This enhances the overall gaming experience, creating an immersive and visually striking ambiance. The durable PBT keycaps, though not shine-through, boast dye-sublimated legends that remain crisp and clear even after extended use, resisting wear and fading over time.

The Galaxy100 keyboard delivers an exceptional typing experience straight out of the box, thanks to its factory-lubed Marble White linear switches. These switches offer a smooth and consistent keystroke, making each press feel effortless yet satisfying. The gasket-mounted design further enhances the experience by dampening sound, producing a soft, refined thud with every keystroke. Whether you’re working in a quiet office, gaming for extended hours, or simply enjoying the pleasure of typing, the Galaxy100 ensures comfort and acoustics that adapt seamlessly to any environment.

Designed with customization in mind, the Galaxy100 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing users to experiment with different switches without the need for soldering. The included 2-in-1 switch puller makes the process hassle-free, making it an excellent option for keyboard enthusiasts who love to fine-tune their setup. With a 5-pin structure and a lifespan of up to 5 million keystrokes, the FEKER Marble White switches offer durability and reliability. Their 42g actuation force and 3.5mm total travel strike a perfect balance between lightness and responsiveness, making every keystroke feel fluid and natural.

Built with high-quality POM material, the FEKER White Marble Linear Switches boast an improved shaft core for better stability and a more defined bottom-out feel. The HIFI sound optimization enhances the typing experience, providing a warm and mellow sound signature that’s pleasing to the ears. These switches are designed to deliver a consistent, buttery-smooth performance, making them ideal for users who prioritize both sound and feel in their mechanical keyboards. Whether for daily productivity or immersive gaming sessions, the Galaxy100, equipped with these refined switches, stands as a solid choice for those seeking precision and comfort.

The Galaxy100 keyboard stands out with its impressive 8000mAh battery, delivering exceptional wireless performance for extended periods. Even with the vibrant RGB lighting set to maximum brightness, it lasts an impressive 25 hours, ensuring uninterrupted usage. For those who prefer a more conservative lighting setup, the battery life extends even further, making it ideal for long work sessions or intense gaming sessions. When it’s time to recharge, the fast USB-C charging minimizes downtime, allowing you to get back to work or play without long interruptions.

Beyond battery life, the Galaxy100 excels in wireless connectivity with its advanced Bluetooth 5.1 and 2.4GHz dual-mode technology. This ensures a stable, lag-free experience whether you’re gaming, typing, or switching between multiple devices. The low-latency response rivals that of wired keyboards, making it a reliable option for competitive gamers and professionals alike. With its blend of endurance and seamless connectivity, the Galaxy100 proves to be a top-tier choice for users who demand both convenience and performance.

The battery check on this keyboard is simple yet effective. By holding down Fn + Spacebar, the number keys from 1 to 0 light up to indicate the remaining battery percentage. For instance, if keys 1 to 6 illuminate, the battery is at 60%, while all ten keys lighting up means a full 100% charge. This visual indicator makes it easy to check battery status at a glance without needing software. Additionally, the keyboard charges in both wired and wireless modes, as long as it’s plugged in. As for indicators, the Win key lights up when Win Lock is enabled, preventing accidental presses that could disrupt your workflow. These thoughtful features enhance usability and provide a smooth experience for users.

The Galaxy100 keyboard stands out with its flexible connectivity options, making it a great choice for users who need versatility. It offers three modes: wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth, allowing seamless switching between devices. The keyboard supports simultaneous pairing with up to five devices, which is perfect for those who frequently work across multiple platforms like PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox. With a low-latency USB mode (2.81ms), 2.4GHz wireless mode (4.72ms), and Bluetooth 5.0 (15ms), it ensures a responsive and lag-free typing experience.

Pairing via Bluetooth is straightforward. Simply switch the keyboard to Bluetooth mode and hold Fn + Q, W, or E for a few seconds until the indicator starts flashing. Then, on your device, locate and connect to “EPOMAKER Galaxy 100-1/2/3” from the Bluetooth settings. Once connected, the indicator stops flashing, confirming a successful pairing. You can switch between paired Bluetooth devices using Fn + Q/W/E, making it easy to transition between workstations without needing to reconnect manually.

For those who prefer a wireless 2.4GHz connection, the process is just as simple. Toggle the switch to 2.4G mode, hold Fn + R until the indicator flashes, and plug in the included 2.4GHz dongle to your computer. Once paired, the indicator stops flashing, ensuring a solid connection. This mode is ideal for gaming and productivity tasks where lower latency and greater stability are required compared to Bluetooth.

If you prefer a wired connection, simply toggle the switch to the middle position and plug the keyboard into your device using a USB-C cable. This mode offers the lowest latency and eliminates battery concerns, making it the best option for high-performance tasks such as competitive gaming or professional work. With these three connectivity modes, the Galaxy100 is a versatile and reliable choice for any setup, whether you’re at home, in the office, or on the go.

The EPOMAKER Galaxy100 takes customization to the next level with its QMK/VIA compatibility, making it an excellent choice for users who want complete control over their keyboard’s functions. VIA’s intuitive interface allows users to remap keys effortlessly, create custom macros, and fine-tune layers for a seamless typing experience. Whether you’re switching between Windows, macOS, or Android devices, the Galaxy100 ensures smooth connectivity, making it a highly adaptable option for both productivity and gaming. The ability to personalize key functions and layouts means that users can optimize their workflow or enhance their gaming setup without any hassle.

Once the VIA software is properly configured and the correct settings are in place, customizing the Galaxy100 becomes an intuitive and rewarding process. Navigating the “Show Design” tab and loading the appropriate .JSON profile ensures that users get the most out of their keyboard, whether in wired or wireless mode. The real-time implementation of changes allows for instant feedback, making it easy to experiment with different key configurations, macros, and even lighting effects. With the right adjustments, users can fine-tune their keyboard to match their exact needs, transforming the Galaxy100 into a truly personalized and versatile tool.

After spending a week with the EPOMAKER Galaxy100, it’s clear that this keyboard is built for both function and style. Right out of the box, the aluminum frame feels premium, offering a solid weight that keeps it stable during intense typing sessions. The 1800 layout strikes a great balance, keeping the numpad while remaining compact enough to free up desk space. The volume knob is a standout feature, adding a convenient way to adjust audio without reaching for external controls. Setup was seamless, and switching between wired, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth modes was effortless, making it a great fit for multiple devices.

Typing on the Galaxy100 is an enjoyable experience, thanks to the factory-lubed Marble White linear switches. They deliver smooth, quiet keystrokes with a pleasant “thock” sound, enhanced by the keyboard’s gasket mount and sound-dampening layers. The stabilizers feel well-tuned, with no noticeable rattling on larger keys like the spacebar or enter key. The keycaps, made from durable PBT plastic, feel great under the fingers, though they’re not shine-through, which slightly reduces RGB brightness. That said, the south-facing LEDs still provide a vibrant glow, and the lighting effects are highly customizable through VIA software.

Battery life is another strong point, lasting over 20 hours with moderate RGB use, and charging via USB-C is quick and efficient. VIA support makes customization easy, allowing for key remapping and macro programming to tailor the keyboard to personal workflows. Whether for work, gaming, or general use, the Galaxy100 delivers a polished experience. It’s well-built, customizable, and offers an excellent typing feel—an easy recommendation for those looking for a premium mechanical keyboard.

The Epomaker P87 comes in a well-designed box that gives a premium first impression. The bold, modern design features geometric patterns and sharp typography, reinforcing its gaming appeal. The front highlights key features like the aluminum build, wired and wireless connectivity, and replaceable knob. The sturdy packaging ensures protection during transit. The side of the box neatly lists additional features, while the back provides a detailed overview, including a keyboard layout and regulatory details. Overall, the packaging is informative and well-structured without unnecessary clutter.

Sliding off the outer sleeve reveals a sturdy inner box that securely houses the keyboard and accessories. Inside, the keyboard is neatly wrapped in protective foam, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition. Alongside it, you’ll find the essentials— a braided USB-C cable, a keycap/switch puller, 3 extra switches, a Hex Key, and a quick start guide. Everything is arranged in a way that feels organized and premium without being excessive. It’s a straightforward yet satisfying presentation that aligns well with the keyboard’s high-quality build.

Out of the box, the P87 keyboard feels premium with its hefty 1.8kg weight, giving it a solid and stable presence on the desk. The CNC-machined aluminum frame adds to the durability while maintaining a clean, refined look. The anodized finish not only enhances the aesthetics but also provides a smooth, comfortable touch, with rounded edges that prevent any sharp discomfort during extended use. Measuring 357x136x45x23mm, its compact yet substantial design strikes a balance between functionality and a sturdy build, making it a reliable option for both gaming and everyday use.

The Epomaker P87 redefines space efficiency with its tenkeyless (TKL) layout, offering a compact yet functional design. Eliminating the numpad frees up desk space without compromising on essential keys, making it an excellent choice for streamlined setups and on-the-go use. With a modern aesthetic and solid aluminum frame, the P87 delivers both durability and a premium feel. The beige-and-gray keycaps give it a classic retro vibe, blending nostalgia with contemporary quality. Available in Black and Khaki, our review unit features the Khaki variant for testing.

In the upper-right corner, the keyboard includes a metal volume knob with a smooth rotation and a tactile click when pressed. It feels solid and well-built, making volume adjustments quick and precise. Next to it, an LED strip indicates the battery status at a glance, ensuring you’re always aware of the charge level. The EPOMAKER logo is also present, subtly blending into the design without being too obtrusive.

At the center of the back panel, you’ll find the key connectivity options. From the left, there’s the 2.4GHz wireless receiver, a switch for selecting the connection mode, and a USB-C port for wired use and charging. The keyboard supports three connection methods: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired mode. A physical switch is used for power management, while switching between Bluetooth and wireless modes is done through shortcut keys, keeping the process simple. It works with both Windows and macOS, making it easy to switch between systems. On the side, the keyboard has a fixed height with no adjustable feet, which might be a consideration for users who prefer customizable ergonomics.

The bottom of the Epomaker P87 keyboard has a simple yet functional design, with a centrally placed EPOMAKER logo. The keyboard has a solid build and a noticeable weight, making it best handled with both hands to avoid accidental drops. It features rubber feet on all four corners to keep it stable on different surfaces. However, there are no adjustable feet, meaning the typing angle is fixed. While this limits customization, the slight elevation helps maintain a comfortable typing position.

The Epomaker P87 Gasket-Mount Aluminum keyboard is built for a refined typing experience, thanks to its solid metal case that enhances the acoustics. The combination of five sound-dampening layers, including sponge, IXPE, and latex, helps reduce unwanted noise while delivering a balanced, satisfying sound profile. Each keystroke produces a deep, well-rounded tone that feels controlled rather than hollow or tinny, making it a great choice for those who appreciate a premium typing sound.

Beyond just sound, the typing feel itself is top-notch. The flexible gasket-mount design, paired with a polycarbonate plate, provides a cushioned yet responsive typing experience. Factory-lubed switches and stabilizers ensure smooth keypresses without any scratchiness or rattle. Whether you’re working or gaming, the P87 delivers a consistent and comfortable feel, making it a well-rounded option for keyboard enthusiasts looking for a balance of acoustics and performance.

The EPOMAKER P87 keyboard comes equipped with thick PBT keycaps, crafted using double-shot molding for enhanced durability and a consistent feel. The keycaps feature a timeless beige-and-gray color scheme, evoking a nostalgic retro aesthetic while maintaining a refined, premium touch. Unlike ABS keycaps that tend to develop shine over time, these PBT keycaps resist wear, ensuring a long-lasting, matte texture that feels great under the fingers. The legends are crisp and well-defined, further adding to the overall clean and minimalistic look.

Designed with a Cherry-profile layout, the keycaps offer a comfortable typing experience with a familiar sculpted shape. The south-facing per-key LED placement ensures that the legends remain illuminated when RGB lighting is enabled, making them easily readable in various lighting conditions. This orientation also enhances compatibility with a wider range of custom keycap sets, making it a great choice for users who like to personalize their setup. A subtle logo light sits between the navigation and function keys, blending seamlessly with the keyboard’s overall design while adding a modern touch to the otherwise classic layout.

RGB lighting on the EPOMAKER P87 strikes a balance between subtlety and customization. The LEDs provide vibrant colors without being overly aggressive, making them suitable for both gaming and professional setups. Users can fine-tune brightness, colors, and lighting patterns to their preferences, allowing for a personalized touch. The underflow effect adds a soft ambient glow around the keyboard, giving it a refined yet stylish presence on any desk.

The EPOMAKER P87 is available with three switch options: Epomaker Zebra Switch, Epomaker Wisteria Switch (Linear), and Epomaker Wisteria Switch (Tactile). Our review unit comes equipped with the Wisteria Tactile switches. Inspired by the Wisteria flower, these switches feature a distinctive purple and pastel green color scheme. While the aesthetic is certainly appealing, the real question is how they perform in day-to-day typing and gaming scenarios.

The EPOMAKER Wisteria Tactile switches use a POM+PTFE stem, a PC top housing, and a PA66 bottom housing. This combination is designed to provide a smooth keystroke with reduced friction, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. The 20.4mm extra-long spring offers a balanced actuation force of around 45gf, ensuring a satisfying tactile bump without feeling overly heavy. With a total travel distance of 3.6mm and a pre-travel of 2.2mm, these switches land in the mid-range category, making them suitable for both typists and gamers who prefer a pronounced tactile response.

Another highlight of the Wisteria switches is their factory-lubed design, which helps maintain a consistently smooth feel over extended use. Thanks to the self-lubricating nature of the materials, keypresses remain fluid over time. Additionally, the switches feature LED slots, allowing for backlighting customization despite the PBT housing. With a tested lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes, EPOMAKER promises durability and reliability for long-term usage. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your keyboard for aesthetics or performance, these switches offer an interesting balance between form and function.

The EPOMAKER P87 offers versatile connectivity, making it a solid choice for users across different platforms. Whether you prefer a wired setup, the reliability of 2.4GHz wireless, or the flexibility of Bluetooth 5.0, this keyboard ensures seamless compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, and even mainstream gaming consoles. The USB-C wired mode guarantees low-latency input, ideal for competitive gaming or fast-paced work. Meanwhile, the 2.4GHz wireless mode delivers a stable, clutter-free connection, and the Bluetooth mode allows you to pair with multiple devices on the go.

Pairing Bluetooth devices with the P87 is straightforward. Switching to Bluetooth mode is as simple as toggling the switch to BT and holding Fn + Q/W/E for a few seconds until the indicator blinks rapidly. Once the keyboard appears on your device’s Bluetooth list as “P87 – 1/2/3,” you can connect and start using it. The LED indicator stops flashing once the connection is successful. With the ability to switch between three paired devices using Fn + Q/W/E, the P87 is a great option for those juggling between multiple setups.

For 2.4GHz wireless mode, the process is equally simple. Move the toggle switch to 2.4G, hold Fn + R until the indicator starts blinking, and insert the included 2.4GHz dongle into your PC. Once the connection is established, the indicator stops flashing, and you’re ready to go. This mode is perfect for users who prefer a stronger, low-latency connection without the interference that sometimes comes with Bluetooth.

If you prefer a wired experience, the P87 has you covered. Switching to USB-C mode is as simple as toggling the switch to the middle and plugging it into your device. This mode not only provides zero-latency input but also ensures that you never have to worry about battery life, making it the best option for professional use and gaming sessions.

Additionally, the P87 supports both Windows and macOS layouts, allowing users to switch between operating systems with Fn + A/S. Whether you’re gaming, working, or multitasking across devices, the EPOMAKER P87 delivers a versatile and seamless typing experience tailored for modern users.

The Epomaker P87 keyboard brings a solid balance of flexibility and ease of use, thanks to its QMK/VIA compatibility. This feature allows users to remap keys, create macros, and tweak settings without restrictions, making it a great choice for both gamers and productivity-focused users. With NKRO (N-Key Rollover) for anti-ghosting and onboard memory, the P87 ensures your custom layout stays intact even when the software isn’t running. The integration of VIA further enhances accessibility, offering real-time modifications without the hassle of downloading additional software.

Once connected to VIA, users can navigate its interface to customize key mappings and lighting effortlessly. The “Show Design” tab provides access to essential configuration tools, though it’s crucial to deselect options like “Use V2 definitions (deprecated)” and load the correct .JSON file for wired or wireless mode. Changes take effect instantly, allowing for seamless experimentation with layouts and macros. This real-time feedback makes fine-tuning the keyboard a smooth experience, ensuring it adapts perfectly to individual preferences.

The Epomaker P87 features a 4000mAh battery, offering extended usage without frequent interruptions for charging. With RGB lighting set to 50% brightness, the keyboard runs for approximately 4-5 days, making it a practical choice for users who enjoy illuminated keys for aesthetics or better visibility in dim environments. If maximizing battery life is a priority, disabling the backlighting provides a noticeable boost, allowing the keyboard to last up to a full week on a single charge. This flexibility ensures users can tailor their experience based on preference, whether for gaming, work, or general typing.

Battery performance remains consistent across different workloads, ensuring reliable operation whether the keyboard is used for casual typing, intensive gaming, or professional tasks. Regardless of lighting settings, the P87 maintains steady performance without sudden power loss, making it a dependable option for extended sessions. The balance between power efficiency and functionality means users can focus on their tasks without constantly monitoring battery levels.

Checking the remaining battery is quick and intuitive. By holding Fn + Spacebar, the number keys from 1 to 0 light up to indicate charge percentage—each illuminated key represents 10% battery life. For instance, if six keys are lit, the battery is at 60%, while a fully lit row signifies a full charge. Charging is supported in both wired and wireless modes as long as the keyboard is plugged in, ensuring that users can keep it powered up with minimal effort.

After spending a week with the EPOMAKER P87 Aluminum Wireless keyboard, I’ve had plenty of time to assess its real-world performance, both in gaming and day-to-day productivity tasks. Right from the start, the build quality stood out. The aluminum chassis gives it a solid, premium feel, and the weight ensures it stays in place during intense gaming sessions. However, this also means it’s not the most portable option if you frequently move your keyboard between setups.

The gasket-mount design and five-layer sound dampening provide a soft yet stable typing experience. Whether I was writing lengthy documents or engaging in fast-paced FPS matches, the keyboard felt consistent and well-tuned. The factory-lubed Wisteria tactile switches delivered a noticeable bump without excessive resistance, making prolonged typing comfortable. There was no scratchiness, and stabilizers were impressively quiet, reducing any unnecessary rattle on larger keys like the spacebar and enter key.

For gaming, the keyboard performed just as well. The 2.4GHz wireless connection maintained a low-latency experience, and I didn’t experience any noticeable delays. Keypresses felt responsive, and NKRO ensured no input was lost during rapid actions. I primarily played FPS and MOBA games during testing, and the keyboard handled quick key combinations effortlessly. However, the lack of adjustable feet meant I had to get used to the fixed typing angle, which may not be ideal for everyone.

Switching between Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, and wired mode was seamless. The included dongle provided a reliable wireless experience, and Bluetooth worked well when paired with multiple devices. The ability to swap between up to three devices via shortcut keys was a welcome feature, especially for those who use multiple machines throughout the day. However, Bluetooth latency was slightly noticeable compared to 2.4GHz, making it more suited for casual typing rather than competitive gaming.

Battery life was another highlight. With RGB lighting set to moderate brightness, I got about four full days of use before needing a recharge. Disabling the lighting extended it closer to a full week, which is impressive given the 4000mAh battery. The battery indicator system was simple yet effective, letting me quickly check the remaining power with a shortcut key. Charging via USB-C was hassle-free, and it could be used in wired mode while charging, ensuring no downtime.

The double-shot PBT keycaps provided a comfortable texture and showed no signs of wear after a week of heavy use. The Cherry profile felt natural for both typing and gaming, and the south-facing LEDs ensured good RGB visibility without being overly bright. The lighting effects were customizable through VIA, with plenty of preset modes to choose from. While the RGB isn’t the most vibrant I’ve seen, it’s clean and well-implemented, blending into various setups without feeling excessive.

8.9Expert Score
Solid & Premium

The EPOMAKER P87 Aluminum Wireless manages to strike a solid balance between premium build quality, versatile connectivity, and an enjoyable typing experience. The CNC-machined aluminum frame gives it a sturdy, high-end feel, while the gasket-mounted structure and sound-dampening layers contribute to a refined acoustic profile. The inclusion of hot-swappable switches, VIA compatibility, and multiple connectivity options makes it a flexible choice for both casual users and enthusiasts looking to tweak their setup. However, the lack of adjustable feet might be a downside for those who prefer customizable ergonomics, and the fixed typing angle may not suit everyone.

Overall, the P87 is a well-rounded tenkeyless keyboard that delivers on both aesthetics and functionality. The combination of premium materials, customizable features, and solid performance makes it a strong contender in the competitive mechanical keyboard market. Whether you’re a gamer, a productivity-focused user, or someone who appreciates a quality typing experience, the P87 has plenty to offer. While it’s not without minor limitations, it stands out as a reliable option for those seeking a premium, wireless mechanical keyboard without breaking the bank.

The design strikes a fine balance between aesthetics and practicality, making it suitable for both casual and professional setups.

The EPOMAKER HE75 sports a compact 75% layout, striking a balance between functionality and desk space efficiency. With 81 keys, it retains essential functions and arrow keys without the bulk of a full-sized keyboard. Measuring 32.9 x 14 x 4.6 cm and weighing in at 1.1 kg, it has a solid presence on the desk, giving it a sturdy feel without being overly heavy. The design is clean and modern, with an interchangeable module that adds a layer of customization, allowing users to tweak their setup to suit their needs. Its compact form factor makes it ideal for gamers and productivity users who need extra room for mouse movement while maintaining access to important keys.

The HE75 keyboard features a swappable Knob Module, letting you switch between a programmable knob or two customizable keys with a simple pull-and-push mechanism. It allows quick access to volume, RGB, and angle adjustments, while a dotted LED matrix display provides real-time indicators. For a traditional setup, the knob can be replaced with extra keycaps and switches for Print and Pause functions.

The back of the HE75 Tri keyboard is designed with both practicality and user convenience in mind. It includes two adjustable feet with multiple height options, giving users flexibility in finding a comfortable typing angle. Rubberized pads provide extra grip to keep the keyboard stable during use. A built-in compartment securely stores the 2.4GHz wireless dongle, preventing loss when not in use. The backplate features a ribbed texture, adding a subtle visual touch while improving structural integrity. Additionally, dual toggle switches allow quick switching between Mac and Windows modes, as well as connectivity options, including Bluetooth, USB, and 2.4GHz wireless.

The EPOMAKER HE75 keyboard brings a well-balanced typing experience with its gasket-mounted design and flex-cut PC plate. By isolating the plate from the case, the gasket mount significantly reduces vibrations, which not only enhances acoustics but also minimizes finger fatigue during extended sessions. The result is a cushioned and consistent sound profile across all keys, making typing and gaming more comfortable without the usual harsh bottom-outs found in traditional tray or top-mounted keyboards.

This thoughtful design choice makes the HE75 an excellent option for users who value both comfort and sound quality. The multiple layers of soft materials—such as the IXPE switch pad and Poron foam—work together to absorb vibrations, reducing pings and unwanted resonance. This ensures that every keystroke produces a smooth, muted sound, allowing the natural characteristics of the switches to shine. The overall experience is one of effortless typing with a refined acoustic signature that leans towards a creamy and satisfying thock.

Further enhancing the sound profile, the inclusion of a PET sound-enhancement pad ensures that the keyboard delivers a deeper, more pronounced keystroke sound without excessive noise. The silicone bottom pad and dual-layer foam construction prevent hollowness, creating a fuller, more controlled sound signature. Whether you’re after a soft and comfortable typing feel or a well-dampened yet satisfying sound, the HE75 stands out as a premium option for enthusiasts seeking an immersive and enjoyable typing experience.

The EPOMAKER HE75 Tri comes equipped with a stunning Gradient Pink Ombre keycap set, adding a unique visual appeal to the keyboard. These keycaps are made from durable, oil-resistant PBT plastic, ensuring a long-lasting and high-quality feel. The Cherry profile design provides a comfortable typing experience, maintaining an ergonomic angle suited for both gaming and extended work sessions. Additionally, the legends are side-printed, keeping the top surface clean and giving the keyboard a more minimalistic and sleek look.

Beyond aesthetics, the keycaps feature a double-shot manufacturing process, which enhances durability and ensures that the legends will not fade over time. The shine-through capability allows RGB lighting to illuminate the legends subtly, making it a great choice for those who enjoy backlit setups. Paired with the HE75 Tri’s gasket-mounted structure and sound-dampening layers, these keycaps contribute to a refined typing experience with a smooth and satisfying sound profile.

The keyboard features south-facing per-key LEDs, ensuring vibrant and uniform backlighting that enhances key visibility, especially with cherry-profile keycaps. With support for 16.8 million colors and a variety of dynamic RGB effects, users can switch between preset animations, breathing patterns, or static colors to match their setup. Adjustments for brightness, speed, and saturation can be made on the fly using function key shortcuts or fine-tuned through EPOMAKER’s software for deeper customization. Whether you prefer a subtle glow or a pulsating RGB showcase, the lighting controls are intuitive, allowing for a seamless transition between different effects without interrupting your workflow or gaming session.

The EPOMAKER Flamingo switches bring a refined typing experience to the HE75 mechanical keyboard, offering smooth and consistent keystrokes with their linear design. With an actuation force of 47g and a total travel distance of 3.8mm, they provide a balanced feel that caters to both gamers and typists. The pre-lubed POM stem reduces friction, resulting in a seamless press that eliminates any scratchy or sluggish sensation. Whether you’re rapidly executing keystrokes in a competitive game or typing for extended periods, the Flamingo switches deliver a comfortable and responsive experience.

Built with durability and customization in mind, these switches feature a transparent polycarbonate housing and a strong dual-spring mechanism, ensuring longevity with a lifespan rated at over 100 million keystrokes. The MX-style design allows compatibility with most keycap sets, making it easy to swap and personalize your keyboard. Additionally, the inclusion of LED slots ensures that backlighting remains visible, even when using PBT keycaps, allowing users to maintain a vibrant and well-lit setup. These features make the Flamingo switches a versatile option for those who value both function and aesthetics.

EPOMAKER’s design philosophy continues to emphasize inspiration from nature, and the Flamingo switches are no exception. Their soft pink color scheme adds a unique visual element, complementing a variety of keyboard themes. The company has a track record of integrating natural influences into its products, as seen in previous keycap sets like Panda and Iceberg. By combining smooth performance, durability, and a thoughtfully crafted design, the EPOMAKER Flamingo switches stand out as an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their keyboard experience.

The HE75 Tri Mechanical Keyboard offers a solid triple-mode connectivity setup, covering USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, and 2.4GHz wireless. In wired mode, it delivers an ultra-low 2ms latency, making it ideal for competitive gaming where every millisecond counts. The 2.4GHz connection ensures a stable and lag-free experience for wireless gaming, while Bluetooth 5.0 adds versatility, allowing seamless switching between Windows, macOS, and Android devices. Whether you’re gaming on a PC, typing on a MacBook, or working on a tablet, the HE75 Tri adapts with ease, making it a great choice for both gamers and productivity users.

Pairing the keyboard in Bluetooth mode is simple and intuitive. Flipping the switch to BT mode and holding Fn+R for a few seconds puts it into pairing mode, indicated by a blinking LED. It supports up to three devices, which can be switched using Fn+Q/W/E, making it a great choice for users who frequently transition between a PC, tablet, or phone. Bluetooth stability is solid, with minimal input lag during casual typing and general use, although it may not be the best choice for fast-paced gaming.

For those who prefer a more stable wireless experience, the 2.4GHz mode is a reliable alternative. Activating it involves switching to 2.4G mode, holding Fn+R, and plugging in the included dongle. Once paired, the connection remains strong, with response times nearly indistinguishable from wired mode. This makes it ideal for gaming and productivity, especially in environments where Bluetooth interference could be an issue. The low latency and interference-free operation make it a solid performer even in demanding scenarios.

Finally, the wired mode offers the best of both worlds—zero input lag and continuous power. Simply switching to USB mode and plugging in the cable ensures a consistent and uninterrupted experience, making it the go-to option for serious gamers and professionals. The ability to charge while in use adds to the convenience, ensuring you’re never left with a dead keyboard mid-session. Overall, the HE75 Tri Mechanical Keyboard delivers a well-rounded experience, balancing speed, stability, and cross-platform versatility.

The EPOMAKER HE75 Tri offers a solid balance of customization and performance, making it a great choice for gamers and enthusiasts who like to fine-tune their setups. With its dedicated software (Windows only), users can remap keys, create macros, and adjust key sensitivity to match their typing or gaming preferences. The ability to personalize the sleep function and backlighting further enhances the overall experience, allowing for a setup that feels truly tailored to individual needs. The keyboard’s hot-swappable design also means users can swap out switches easily, adding another layer of flexibility.

RGB lighting is another highlight of the EPOMAKER HE75 Tri, with per-key customization available through the Epomaker software. Users can create their own lighting profiles or tweak existing presets to match their setup. The brightness and effects can be adjusted depending on usage, whether for a more immersive gaming experience or a subtle look for work. While the software provides plenty of options, the fact that it’s only available on Windows might be a limitation for macOS and Linux users. Nonetheless, for Windows users, the level of control over lighting and key functions is impressive.

The EPOMAKER HE75 Mechanical Keyboard packs a solid 4000mAh rechargeable battery, offering around 25 hours of use with RGB lighting enabled and an impressive 400 hours with it turned off. Checking the battery level is straightforward—holding FN+ENTER while connected wirelessly illuminates the number row from 1 to 0, providing a quick visual indication of the remaining charge. This is a useful feature, ensuring users don’t run out of power unexpectedly, especially during long gaming or work sessions.

Charging status is conveniently displayed by the bottom indicator light next to the DEL key. A flashing red light signals a low battery, solid red indicates charging, and green confirms a full charge. EPOMAKER advises using the original cable or one rated below 1A for charging, preferably via a computer rather than a wall charger. This ensures optimal battery health and longevity, a small but important detail often overlooked in budget-friendly wireless keyboards.

After spending a week with the Epomaker HE75 Tri, I found it to be a well-rounded keyboard that delivers on both functionality and aesthetics. Right out of the box, the Flamingo switches provided a smooth and satisfying typing experience with a refined “thock” sound, making each keystroke feel premium. The gasket-mounted design noticeably reduces harsh bottom-outs, which helps minimize finger fatigue during long typing and gaming sessions. Whether I was writing for hours or engaged in a fast-paced game, the keyboard remained comfortable and responsive. The south-facing RGB backlighting is vibrant, illuminating the PBT keycaps without being overly harsh, and the per-key customization through software added a nice touch for personalizing my setup.

The tri-mode connectivity proved to be reliable throughout the week. The 2.4GHz wireless mode was my go-to for gaming, delivering near-zero latency, while Bluetooth mode worked flawlessly for switching between my laptop and tablet for casual work. The pairing was straightforward, and the keyboard consistently maintained stable connections without random dropouts. The built-in dongle storage was also a small but thoughtful addition, ensuring I didn’t misplace it. Battery life was decent—lasting around three full days of mixed usage with RGB on before needing a recharge, which aligns with Epomaker’s claims. Turning off the lighting significantly extended the battery, making it a practical option for those who prioritize longevity over aesthetics.

From a usability standpoint, the HE75’s compact 75% layout struck the right balance between desk space and functionality. Having the arrow keys and function row within easy reach made daily use seamless, and the programmable knob added a layer of convenience for quick volume and brightness adjustments. The sound-dampening layers effectively kept noise levels low, making it ideal for shared spaces. However, I did notice that the stock stabilizers, while decent, had a slight rattle on larger keys like the spacebar and enter key—nothing major, but something that could benefit from additional tuning. Overall, after a week of heavy use, the Epomaker HE75 Tri has proven to be a solid performer with a well-thought-out feature set that caters to both gamers and productivity users alike.

Looks Beautiful

The Epomaker HE75 Tri makes a strong case for itself as a feature-packed 75% mechanical keyboard that balances aesthetics, functionality, and performance. The compact layout retains essential keys while saving desk space, making it a great fit for gamers and professionals alike. The Flamingo switches deliver a smooth and consistent typing experience, complemented by the well-executed gasket-mounted design and multiple sound-dampening layers. Tri-mode connectivity works flawlessly, with 2.4GHz wireless offering near-zero latency for gaming and Bluetooth providing easy multi-device switching. Add to that a vibrant RGB backlight and a solid software suite for customization, and the HE75 Tri proves to be a well-rounded option.

While the keyboard excels in many areas, there are a few minor trade-offs. The stock stabilizers, though serviceable, have a slight rattle on larger keys, which could be improved with additional tuning. Battery life is decent but varies depending on RGB usage, meaning frequent users may find themselves charging more often. The lack of macOS software support is another small limitation for non-Windows users. However, these do little to take away from the overall experience. With a solid build, impressive acoustics, and a refined feel right out of the box, the Epomaker HE75 Tri is an easy recommendation for those seeking a stylish and capable mechanical keyboard.
